I use the Alberto or uni to uni. Never had a problem with either. If I were tying a long leader, I would go with the Alberto.

Don't! LOL. Seriously, the last time I did was 21 years ago. Things have changed a lot since 9/11 so I don't have any advice for leaving the country. I have only flown within the states since then.

I prefer to buy my fishing gear and guns from Academy over BPS. I can walk into Academy and handle any gun I want at any time. Purchase one and be out the door in 30 min. I have waited up to 20 min just to see a gun at BPS.

Tell me about it. We had a fire today in a hay pasture. I was in my bunker gear for about 25 min straight fighting fire. Doesn't seem long, but wearing all that it was. Was out there about 3 hrs total. Too stinkin hot for fighting fire. LOL

Something is definitely wrong. The rod can handle that just fine. Braid might be too light, but I would start with spool tension and then brakes.

I have owned a ton of both brands. High end (Steez, Antares) to low end (Tatula, Citica) and EVERYONE of them have been excellent. You cannot go wrong with either.

For me, if I am going to use a jig head and want a slow fall I will use a hollow body. If I want to get it deep with a jig head I will use a solid body. If I want a subsurface I will use a solid body on a T rig with a 1/16 oz pegged weight.

Got home late last night from the USSSA 10u Southern Nationals tournament. Ended up 5th out of 35 teams. Proud of them for making it that far. My oldest was selected as an MVP of one of their games so she has qualified to play in the Texas All State games in August.
