  1. 1 pound
  2. I was only able to get out for about an hour and a half today but really wanted to try it with this cold front moving through. I was able to slip in behind the rain and stick a few. This was the biggest at 5lb even.

  4. This happened to us Friday night and it got me to thinking about these pro anglers. We were headed back from a softball tourney in OKC on Friday night and we were south bound on I-35 just outside of the city area. Had the cruise set at about 75 and in the right hand lane. From out of nowhere a truck passes us in the left lane like we were sitting there. There was no doubt who it was. That camo truck with matching boat and the huge Megabass and Trokar logos. I wasn't sure where he was coming from or even where he lived but I Googled it and saw he had been fishing in Michigan and headed home to Ft Worth. I got to talking to my wife about all the driving they have to do and I think it would be miserable. I bet there are a lot of things we don't think about when we think how great it would be to do something like fish for a living. I would need to be successful enough that I could have my wife go with me everywhere or hire a private driver lol.
  5. That Hornady is the same ammo I shoot out of mine. It is the Ruger American 6.5 Creedmooor with a Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 3-9x40
  6. I'm ready!!!! The deer will be on the move soon. I plan to make my first sit tomorrow evening. Don't have high hopes but it's going to be a lot different than most early October's when I'm sweating and fighting mosquito's. Hopefully going to be on the lake Sunday. Would really like to go Saturday and Sunday but my buddy won't miss an OU game even though they are playing Kansas.
  7. Yea, I don't necessarily go target them, but when I have got on them those seemed to be the best spots.
  8. Well we played in a different league for fall ball. Ended up league champs but came up short in the end of season tournament and finished runner-up. Really good fall season though finishing undefeated in league with an overall record of 16-2 including the tournament.
  9. Rocks, rock banks and rock piles is where I have had luck with them. Lol
  10. I would try Eufaula if I were you. I have caught a bunch there, never from the bank though. That's about as close to Tulsa as I can think of. Others would be Arbuckle and Murray but they are quite a ways away from Tulsa.
  11. Of course. My favorite technique, and by far my most accurate. Edit* I guess I should pause and say that mine might be a mix of under hand and sidearm. Afraid I will get called out by the experts. Lol
  12. I won't be "that guy" and judge you no matter what you wear. I guess I'm not 13 anymore and could care less what anyone else is wearing. I'm usually wearing Crocs and would tell anyone who cared where they could stick my Croc.
  13. Born and raised Okie here, welcome aboard!
  14. Ok, I will drop it. A lot of posts with no proof. Now carry on with KVD to Lew's.
  15. No Google search needed. He won 3 US Ams playing the MP14's. Then he signed a contract to play Titleist in 96. He was still sponsored by Titleist when he signed a contract with Nike and began playing the Nike ball in 2001 if I remember correctly. He then switched to the Nike driver in 02 and the Nike blades in 03. But I guess at some point during this time Mizuno popped back in and made some top secret CIA style blades made to look like Nike's until they could get it right. LOL, some of the things you read on the internet are amusing.
  16. Do you have any proof or is this some sort of CIA cover up?
  17. I think that is a little bit different. They could have been throwing both and therefore they weren't lying when they said what they were throwing. Big difference in, "I was throwing this" as opposed to, "I was catching them on this" lol.
  18. 1. Kill a 140" deer 2. Catch a DD bass 3. Try not to put on my winter weight lol
  19. Lol, so from 1996 till 2002 he hit Titleist irons and then had Mizuno make him some incognito Nike's until they got it right? Glad I don't believe everything that's supposedly true.
  20. Lol, my thoughts exactly. There has been so much nonsense thrown around in this thread about fishermen and golfers disguising equipment. I don't believe it for a min.
  21. I own quite a number of guns, but if I were going to own just one for hunting and fun shooting, it would be a 6.5 Creedmoor in an AR 10 platform. Sky's the limit on that one.
  22. It amazes me that people think if they buy a DC reel they can just set spool tension to any size lure and set the brake on any number and it should throw everything from 1/8 oz up to 1 oz flawlessly with no thumb action or backlash. I don't want to be the spoiler here, but when you watch a video on the internet they have already set whatever product they are showcasing up to perform to the best of its ability. If you show me a video of someone flinging a 1/6 ned rig into a wall with no backlash and then tying on a 1 oz punch weight with the same results then I might believe it. I own a DC and it is a GREAT reel but it does need some adjustment. It's like the people who see a commercial where someone sheds 40lbs taking the newest weight loss pill. They go buy the pill and have no idea why they aren't losing weight. There are plenty of factors involved when it comes to fishing or losing weight, all of which need to be done properly to achieve the desired result.
  23. I just knew Irene was going to bed.
  24. I don't see why this matters at all. He DOMINATED the fishing world with Quantum for many years and in nearly every "which reel is the best" thread ever posted on the internet (haven't read them all, lol) I rarely, if ever saw Quantum mentioned. I don't think people care what rod or reel pros use as I believe most of us guys who have been around the block a while know what we prefer. The younger generation might be swayed more by what a guy is using, but I don't believe it to be that much of a difference on a companies bottomline. Fishermen aren't a bunch of young guys looking to is wearing the hottest new pair of sneakers so we can jump higher and shoot better. Most realize what brands are and have been reliable for years and many of us stick by those brands (fanboys I suppose you could say).
