Hi vis line for casting gear greater than 30lb
I was using Sufix hi vis yellow in 40 lb and it was great but it faded pretty quickly. I just bought some new reels and I am spooling them up with green this time. Only reason is I bought a bulk spool of 832 in green.

How often do you replace fishing line ?
I use straight braid 99% of the time. My moving bait rods I will change out and put new on about half way through the year. My bottom contact rods I will usually put new on about 4 times a year.

Fletcher Shryock taking shots at BASS
Probably not, but it's 2019 where these types of comments hurt peoples feelings. I would see it no different if a guy leaves Xfinity to move to the Monster series and says something along the same lines. But like I said, in this day and age, people are going to be offended no matter what.

Fletcher Shryock taking shots at BASS
He probably shouldn't have said it out loud (or typed it), but you can't say he isn't going to the place where the big dogs are fishing. He wants to compete against the best and there are obviously more of them in the BPT right now. I'm more disappointed that he doesn't know it is "herd" lol.

Rethinking Topwater Colors
The colors are better at catching me lol. These are just my ride alongs, I don't think any of them have seen the water.

Are Megabass jerkbaits really king or is it a confidence thing?
This thread is just like any other thread about certain baits, rods, reels, etc. People who have never used the item feel the need to say that they don't need to use it to know that it doesn't work any better than what they use.

~Fantasy Football Fishing League~
Well, of course I'm going to say points lol. That's the way it has been all year in the standings so I assumed that's the way it was.

Costa sunglasses
I have the Jose's in Green 580p and the Fantails in Grey 580g. I personally can't tell the difference if the glass is "better" than the plastic. I do think they glass is just a bit heavier but I don't think you would notice unless you put them on one after the other to see if you could tell. I am red/green color blind and I find the grey works better for me at contrasting things but on the other hand the green sure does brighten things up for me.

CAN YOU HELP (15 YR OLD LOST HIS FATHER)
I will get some things together and a package will be sent out this week. As a middle school teacher I understand that the ages between 13-15 are when young men make decisions that can and usually will have an impact on their lives forever. Here's to hoping this young man can see the good the world has to offer and turns this tragedy into a time to make the best of what is out there and he doesn't turn to all the bad the world has to offer to try and deal with the loss. I truly hope he has a great support system and if I can help by sending out a few things, you better believe I will.

Bottom Contact Rod Specs
That would be a H for me, especially if it is around any cover at all. I might throw it on a MH out in open water but would opt for the H. That's just me though.

1st Baitcasting Reel Help Please - Budget $150-$200
I will just throw this out there. I have a few reels I would be willing to sell if you are interested. They are all MINT condition inside and out. I have a 16 Scorpion 70xg that I would sell for $180, a Scorpion MGL xg that I would sell for $190 or a Scorpion DC hg that I would let go for $200. I can text pics if you are interested, you can PM me. I was thinking about listing them here but haven't decided for sure yet if I want to sell them all but they are in your price range.

Bottom Contact Rod Specs
Depends on what weight you plan to throw. I prefer a MH for 90% of what I do. I use a 6'10" MH for anything up to 3/16 with a 2/0 hook, usually more like 1/8 oz T-Rigs which when a hook and bait is added comes out to about 3/16 or a touch more. I use a 7'2" MH for 1/4 to 1/2 oz T-Rigs or Carolina rigs with a 3/0 hook, usually using a 3/16 oz weight. I use a 7'2" H rod for 1/2 oz and up T-Rigs and Jigs, I also use this rod for a frog rod, small swimbait rod, A-rig rod, etc. I have a ML rod that I use for finesse applications as well, but I don't use it nearly as often as I do my MH rods.

Chronarch mgl vs bantam mgl
I just got my Met today. I got it in an XG and I will put it through the paces on Sunday. I plan on throwing a T-Rig with it and maybe a jig. I will try to compare it with similar baits with my Bantam and Chronarch as well. It already "feels" like the Chronarch and it will fell the same on the water. I am guessing I will end up using my Bantam for moving baits like a spinnerbait and chatterbait and end up using the Met and Chronarch for bottom contact just based off the way they feel.

You asked for it..they delivered!
Interesting, I just spooled up my finesse reel with some Sufix fluoro to try out. I just ordered some of the Super Power braid to give it a shot. Been happy with 832 but figured I might give this a try and see how I like it.

Good video, one could learn a few things from watching it. Except for when the next TW sale is and if Shimano is included.

Catching those trophy Bass (10 or more)
To me, a big bass is relative to your location and the size of water you fish. Take guys up North who are fishing large lakes and a 5 lb Largemouth is a big bass. Take a guy fishing a small pond in Florida and a 5 lber is just another catch. I use 5 lbs because for me a 5 lber is a good solid fish any day of the week. It's kind of like deer hunting. Not many 180" bucks walking around in the Florida woods, but there are plenty of DD bass in the waters. While there aren't many DD bass swimming in Iowa, there are a number of 180" bucks in the woods. And the word trophy has a totally different meaning for me and I'm sure others as well.

I've been
Don't step on his seats. Don't cast in front of him. Ask him if he would like you to net for him. Offer him money for gas. Ask ahead of time how much gear you should bring. Ask him about helping launch or load the boat if you are experienced in backing a trailer. Don't ask or offer if you are uncomfortable doing it though. There are a ton of things you could cover but I think communication is the key.

Shimano reels 20% off Black Friday on TW?
It's the same one that has already been said. No matter if it's 20% off or not, just don't let your wife find out.

Shimano reels 20% off Black Friday on TW?
Truer words have never been spoken.

Can't believe I'm asking this but how do I fool my wife? LOL
Yet, you asked.........When I said "Be a man" I wasn't saying it in a way where it was you buying whatever you want. It was to tell you that you shouldn't hide anything from your wife. If you don't want marital advice, don't start a thread asking how to hide things from your wife. Maybe breathe a little bit and slow down with all the threads, I think you are starting to start some where you don't like the answers.

Can't believe I'm asking this but how do I fool my wife? LOL
Well, I have a lot to say about this.....but for fear of no longer being a member of the forum, I will keep it simple. Don't try to hide anything from your wife, be a man.
