  1. Guessing you are both going with the Free Style? I have only used the regular with the magnet and treble hook without much success. Freestyle that much better?
  2. That is what I figured and supporting a local small business, win win in my book. I have purchased far worse and dumb stuff haha Thanks, I will report back! Going to use the Shrimp balls while surf fishing next week in Mexico. Fair warning I have some very basic gear, and never surf fished before so.... results may vary ?
  3. Yeah he told me the same about the block. But also said that you can easily melt the balls down the same way and apply them to spoons or any hard bait really. Im going to experiment some with them, see how the balls work themselves as well as melted down on spoons or other lures. Shocked no one here has actually tried them out.
  4. Saw these today at the Philly Fishing Show. $10/jar. Figured why not. Any updates from anyone who tried them yet?
  5. Still waiting for PLANO EGDE to make a partial jig/regular box. Would love to have half with the jig holder and half for anything else. Also waiting for them to make a new jig insert that is slight smaller gap for wire/hand tied jigs. I love the box but wire tie jigs like jack hammers move around. I use a small piece of soft plastics to hold them down for now. Atlas bag looks nice but wow $$$$$$
  6. Heading up there on vacation in a few weeks, wanted to see if anyone has fished it, or knows much about the lake itself. Thanks! John
  7. I like to use the Monkey in a completely different set up, I found most success using it on the "Rage Rig". I found that suggestion on this forum actually. Use a swimbait hook with the weight connected to the hook. It will allow the monkey to float/swim down on a good angle as it drops.
  8. If they are going for reaction type baits what about tossing a Jerkbait? Pause, snap snap, pause, snap, pause. Or something along those lines.
  9. What kind did you get or are they all flat nose minnow? Thats a hell of a deal
  10. Heat of the summer I found a lot of success tossing a Black Light Sweet Beaver with around 1/4oz weight T Rigged. Love it
  11. Shocked no one has mentioned Reaction Innovations, completely changed the game with the Sweet Beaver. I always see "retired" items from them going for $70-$100+ each. The Vixen for example. Not saying I would pay that, just observations
  12. "Always Fish a Jig!" - G Man Love this 5 min video, think the whole seminar was around 45minutes. Great listen
  13. Also wanted to note the snap/clip on the Stealth Blade is pretty strong. This was on 30lb braid Z Man was great though, sent them a picture of this and they sent me a new lure.
  14. Never had any problems with the snaps. And last week I actually hooked into something large in the water, not sure it if was a shopping cart, or some other large piece of (unfortunately) garbage. Between some patience and 50lb braid I was able to get the item moved around 10 ft closer to me. Finally got it free, the snap was slightly bent (pulled straight), but the hook was what bent out for me to get it free. You know the gauge of hook on the Jack Hammer, not easy to bend
