  1. I would say 90% of the time, not long enough. I usually get more bites when I cast out a soft plastic and then get my phone out to check it.
  2. I'm not gonna say you are lying about the braid, but that is one awful looking knot.
  3. Been glued to the TV all night. The kids and I have played UNO and various card games while watching the weather. Looks like we may be clear of tornado possibilities but we may see some rain and or storms. Finally made the kids go to bed and I'm about to follow suit. Got my radio on frequency just in case I get paged out but I think we escaped the worst this time.
  4. I'm second in command to open the safe shelters in our town. Our Captain who is first is out of town. I have been getting messages since 8:00 am to be prepared to go open them up at any time. Gonna be a looooong night.
  5. I would rather catch one 5 lber as opposed to nine 1 lbers. I usually try to target areas where I think I can catch a big one and use baits for that situation. I would be terrible in MLF lol.
  6. I'm an admitted Shimano fanboy, but in all honesty you will be doing fine with either one. That being said, I am a huge fan of Winn grips.
  7. I think they do it this way is because of the live format. If guys are targeting big fish only they are only catching 5-7 a day. Just look at the CLASSIC, on day 1 there were 18 guys who didn't even weigh in 5 fish. There may be a total of 600 - 800 fish caught on a day of MLF, there may be 200 caught on a BASS event. Hard to pitch a new format where there isn't a constant, or at least almost constant catch rate. In my opinion this is why BASS has never tried to go live, they knew the interest wouldn't be there and that is why they focus on the weigh in as their main draw.
  8. It has sure made for some tough fishing and trying to get softball games played.
  9. I don't mind being that guy. You can get 600 on ebay for $5.69 shipped to your door.
  10. I also prefer a higher ratio for jerkbaits.
  11. People on here can't agree on the weight of a fish by a picture, now the temp of a steak is at question lol. All kidding aside, looks delicious!
  12. Awesome fish! I would call it a 9 as well.
  13. Guarantee you that is accurate.
  14. Between 3 and 12 lbs
  15. Amazon, ebay, etc.
  16. Thread size and length are what need to be checked. I was going to change out a Glacier Bay for a Delta and the Delta was a touch longer and wouldn't thread on.
  17. These new members are bringing the heat with some quality posts. Guess the weight with no pic, bashing Kittery, telling us 12 lb mono is the best line ever. Quality stuff.
  18. Did you use grease or any kind of lubricant?
  19. Sorry, but this fish is still your PB. It's bigger than the one you just posted. But, buy a set of scales.
  20. Buy a set of scales. I have no idea why people chase fish and are curious about what they weigh yet they won't buy a set of scales. If you are actually interested to know what the fish weighs, buy a set of scales. There is no way to tell from a pic and all anyone can do is guess so it doesn't even matter in the end what the guesses are. Buy a set of scales!
  21. Old school MB auction site score. Not bad for $12 each
  22. I have both the DC and K and I would choose the DC over the K. Speaking of. On a certain site if you search curado reel and change the options to newly listed and buy it now, you can grab one for $179 + shipping. I would be all over it if I needed it.
  23. Them ol bass just can't remember seeing one, it's like they see it for the first time every time. ?
