  2. My Browns and Cardinals did great!!!!
  3. Texas rigged or Weedless???? LOL, I'm out on that one.
  4. In my experience bigger fish always seem to try to go deep when you try to bring them up to the boat. I don't notice a whole lot of difference from the time I hook up till I get closer to the boat, but when you get pretty close is when they seem to hit the turbo button.
  5. It's a good thing I fish with my buddy, he didn't get a choice lol. But, we spend most of the day on the decks fishing and not riding around as we don't fish huge lakes. It doesn't get in the way unless you are going back and forth from the front deck to the back deck.
  6. It is the Tackle Bag I edited my first post to include what I carried in it. I compared the Bass Mafia and the Cabelas Advanced Anglers Super Magnum Bag side by side and the Cabelas was a touch bigger. It seemed like it would be a great bag. If I wouldn't have already had the bait coffins, I might have went that route.
  7. I use a the Bass Mafia bag. It will hold a TON of stuff. I will take some pics when I get home. I also had to carry 2 bags before and everything fit into this one nicely. I have 6 Bass Mafia 3700 bait coffins, 1 Bass Mafia 3700 deep bait coffin, and 2 small Bass Mafia briefcases in the main compartment. I have a set of scales, 2 line conditioners, needle nose, braid cutters, gloves, face mask, small bolt cutters, side cutters, 2 lighters, 5 spools of line, a knife and a can of bang in the outer pockets.
  8. Do you know what it weighed?
  9. They don't bother me that bad, but my buddy gets them real bad. He uses anything with DEET. He says it works the best. I think my Keystone Light scent works better though lol
  10. Wow, I will stop there.
  11. While we are on the subject of how close is too close. When I was having to fish from the bank last week I was at a spot that is only maybe 50 yards wide. There is a ton of timber on the South of it and you can't access the bank from the North. A guy pulled up in his truck and I could tell he was bummed that I was there. He got his poles out and started walking South. I said, hey man you are more than welcome to fish over here. He told me thanks but I was there first. I said, well this isn't my spot and there are plenty of fish in this lake. He asked if I was sure and I told him yes. He started fishing and I told him which stumps I had caught fish off in the last couple weeks and what I was throwing.
  12. I would much rather have someone tell me they are upset with me for being so close to them and explain why. Throwing a lure at me with a couple treble hooks on it, now we are getting a little bit into the threatening side. Just because someone is close to you doesn't give you the right to cast at them.
  13. I too have a Curado K, I would take the DC over it any and every day.
  14. I have owned both. For me, it would depend on what I wanted to use it for. For what you have intended, I would opt for the MGL, BUT since you already have one, I would go with the DC and use it for moving baits and switch your MGL to your t-rig/jig rod.
  15. There is NO spot worth me getting into a fight or worse shot over. If someone comes into a spot where I am, I will just let them have it and find another one. When I was in my 20's I would have for sure had some unpleasant things to say, glad I have outgrown that stage lol.
  16. If I am in 10 FOW I am in DEEP water! lol
  17. Just imagine if the original math was wrong.
  18. Congratulations! Great fish!
  19. I use a 6'8" MF so I would use the 6'6" MF if it were me.
  20. Yep, it is within their rights to take them out of the lake.
  21. A few recent scores from forums or the auction site.
  22. i bought one as a cheap reel to jig for crappie and troll for sand bass. Biggest piece of junk I have ever owned. Sometimes you actually do get what you pay for.
  23. So, I'm 39 and I don't really feel old. Well sometime last year I fished on Saturday and woke up Sunday morning and went to get in the shower and I noticed a few bruises on my stomach, I thought that was weird. They went away and then a couple months later, I fished on Saturday and woke up Sunday morning and the same thing. I went fishing later that afternoon and I realized what was causing it. LOL!!!! Guess that was my moment of realizing what people meant when they said wait till your 40, but I wasn't even 40 yet.
  24. All those rods and reels will be replaced with more expensive rods and reels in the future. My advice would be to buy a couple med range set ups and go from there. I should add this. I would also buy used from the classifieds here. There is a heck of a deal on 2 Tatula CT's reels right now and you can always get some great gear here.
