I usually watch MLF when my wife isn't home, but today I was watching the BPT and when Ike went on one of his screaming fits she said "What is wrong with him, is he okay?" I said, he always does that. She said "That's weird" So there is what Ike does for the sport. She knows Ike as the weird guy and Francesco Molinari as the unibrow guy.

Congratulations!!! How do you like those Columbia gloves? I have been debating between them and Huks or TH Marine. Gonna have to order them since I can't get anywhere to check them out in person.

With Jeff Sprague finishing out of the top 10, EE becomes the only angler to make it to the Championship round in each BPT event. He is the best angler on the water at this point in my opinion.

I fished post cold front today....TOUGH fishing. Three that would average about 2 lbs all on a baby brush hog fished SUPER slow and TIGHT to cover. Only fished about 2 hours because it was a COLD North wind.

Awesome, I got out today and caught a few in the 2lb range. I did find some that were fanning pretty good. It is definitely getting close.

For me, I like to get there around 10 and try to stay till about 3. Seems like noon to about 2 is the best time for me.

Rocks and ledges don't like braid either. In fact, they like it less than they do fluorocarbon. I use braid direct tie to my hook unless I am fishing rocks, then I use a fluorocarbon leader.

I don't use one, haven't notice any difference it the amount of bites I get. Edit* That kind of doesn't make sense since I said I can see the line better. I guess I'm trying to say that I don't think it has had a negative impact on the amount of bites I get. I hope that makes sense LOL. If not, I apologize.

When I was a kid (9-12) I could catch crawdads in my front yard after a big rain on a piece of string and bacon, They were so much fun to catch. When I could walk to the creeks and catch them I was so excited.

I have a bunch, the most I will take as a co-angler is 5. Sometimes it's 4 casting and 1 spinning and sometimes it's 5 casting. I can do everything I need with those 5.

For me, yes. I only use them as an outer layer and dress for the weather(temperature) under them.

I have always watched my line, but when I switched to Sufix hi vis yellow braid my catch rate went up significantly. I am red/green color blind so I think it made a Huge difference.

Most days I am not able to watch the live stream for lengthy periods of time. Maybe 5-10 min here or there. That being said, I think one can learn a lot watching this format. Between getting to listen to the anglers, Marty and J.T. you can really get an idea of what kind of conditions they are up against, what areas they are targeting, baits, etc.

You didn't claim to cast 110 yards, someone else did. I'm trying real hard to stay out of trouble though. LOL

@Catt I believe you. But 110 yards is a stretch. I would guess my best cast is 50 yards. I thought the thread was about casting distance with normal bass fishing gear and now we have world record casts posted.
