  1. They will all be great in that price range. Look for personal preference things. Grip material, solid vs split grip, hook keeper, color, reel seat, etc. At that price point, that's what I would consider.
  2. So, you would rather estimate than know for sure? Guess I don't understand why you wouldn't want to know. The point of my thread was to show that you have no idea unless you weigh it, I just watched the latest MLF and IKE said he caught a 4 lber. Turned out to be 2.14. I just want to know for sure.
  3. I haven't watched a single NCAA basketball game this year.
  4. I will add a couple I don't think I have read yet. A spare trolling motor prop, a change of clothes in an air tight bag, a set of scales, sunscreen, and nitrile gloves in case you have to assist someone who is bleeding.
  5. Is it fishin or fishing? I can't get either of them to work Got it. The password is Fishin
  6. I like F, but a lot of people like MF. Personal preference.
  7. The guy with the long hair.
  8. I like to hunt deer during the rut. I guess I am an opportunistic type of guy.
  9. We have all seen the threads about "how much does this fish weigh". Well the ONLY true way to know is to weigh the fish on a set of scales. Pictures are so misleading and at times I feel like people think they have caught a 6 lb bass and it might have went 4. I am going to show you an example of two fish caught on two different lakes by my fishing partner. Both fish were weighed more than once to ensure they were accurate. The pics were taken from the same distance on the boat. I don't want you to guess the weights, I am going to tell you so that you can see what I mean. Guys with experience already know this, but guys new to fishing apparently don't. Hopefully after reading this, some people will be more inclined to buy a set of scales and take the guess work out of it. Length and girth were not measured. The fish on the left weighed 4 lb 8 oz. The fish on the right weighed 4 lb 15 oz.
  10. IMO it is for a baitcaster. I am sure some guys here will tell you they do it all the time with no problems, but don't always believe what you read on the internet.
  11. It is .008 diameter. Not sure how skilled you are with a baitcaster or what you will be tossing, but I'm not going to attempt to fish 15 lb braid on a baitcaster and I consider myself pretty skilled with one.
  12. My guess, you are using braid that is too light. When I first tried braid on a baitcaster, I bought 20lb. Disaster. Then I tried 40 lb and 50 lb and it is amazing.
  13. Favorite lure to catch fish, or if you could only have one lure ever to fish with? I would choose a 5" senko if I could only have one lure to fish with. My favorite lure to catch fish on is a jerkbait. I love twitching it and feeling it get heavy.
  14. Well, this isn't going to sit well. But, as a white male, I was NEVER given anything because of my sex or race. I was accepted to the University of Oklahoma based on my academic achievements, not because I was a minority. There were hundreds, if not thousands of scholarships that I could not apply for because I was not a female, Native American, Asian, Hispanic, African American, etc. I had to take out loans and pay them off. In my opinion, a college entrance application shouldn't even consider sex or race. But then we would have so many people claiming they were denied entrance because of whatever they deem to be their "crutch". It's no wonder that all the people in this case are white, the only thing they have as an advantage is money. Affirmative action is just great!
  15. Yea, he actually may not have did it. I am guessing he admitted to it though.
  16. Oh okay, I was interested to see if that was the reason. I just figured it was obvious that he trimmed the tail.
  17. Where did you see a poly was used?
  18. Looks like it was a tough day out there. Who knows though, maybe all those MLF guys just try to catch 1-2 lbers all the time so they can't get on a big bite.
