  1. I didn't get up to academy when the Mettles were on sale. Did anyone buy an extra one they want to sell?
  2. Are they good reels? Or just good for the price point?
  3. THAT SUCKS!!!! Sorry to hear it Cole, do you think it has been bent since you go it?

  5. I am about to get a new trolling motor, and want to install it and the new Garmin, as well as some other boat maintenance items on the same day. And as a new "real" boatowner I have some questions. What all do I need to do to my boat from a maintenance standpoint? I have been told to change lower unit oil. Looks easy. Should I replace my trailer bearings? Or "re-pack" them? Or just make sure they have plenty of grease and grease them? Also, have a livewell that's not pumping. (sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't) I think it may be electrically. Anything specifically I need to check for? Not planning on fully winterizing the boat as I hope to get to WC a couple times and get in on the fun. Thanks for the input!
  6. I will check with him know if he wants it!
  7. Then I am glad I could help move some inventory!
  8. Ok, I am trying to see if my dad is interested. I will let you know if he wants the rod
  9. Do you still have these for sale?
  10. Adam and I took my boat to gardner on Saturday to work/check on my trailer bunks. Looks like I need to replace all of them due to wood rot. Got a makeshift fix on the two that had come loose. After wasting time on that we fished for about an hour and a half. caught about 7 in that time frame with 3 being right at 2 pounds. Started to figure them out right before we left which was a shame. Adam had plans he had to get off the water for. The fish we caught were on jerkbaits and flippin spoons around the deeper docks.
  11. That is correct. However, he ended up going in Jacob's boat ( a member here with the nitro z-6) since Adam W was already in my boat and Jacob wanted to get out too. So we followed them to some spots and then did our own thing. they managed 7 or 8 fish, but had a good limit of about 14 pounds. So they did good. Which is partially why I went back Sunday. To see if I could find some of those fish.... but I couldn't, and ended up catching the few small fish doing something completely different.
  12. Went to La Cygne Sat & Sunday. I have nothing to report.
  13. I am hitting La Cygne in the morning. Going to try and learn a thing or two from a buddy that has fished it more than me.
  14. We did not get to Gardner Saturday, but did make it out to LS on Sunday afternoon. Only fished about 4 hours. Boated about 20 fish, nothing over 2 pounds or so. Most fish came on a BHW with several also on a wart.
  15. I think Adam W and I are going to hit Gardner in the AM. But I could be talked into Lone Star as well.
  16. Where's everyone fishing tomorrow???
  17. You forgot to mention you probably started in a deficit since you are going to be gone ALL weekend. ha
  18. I've already prepared the wife for next Spring. Planning on going to BBB! (as long as I can get off work a day and my boat is working properly)
  19. Made it out to Lonestar Saturday Morning. Had a one come off a pit boss in the 4 pound range right at the beginning of the day and I thought we were going to be on of all day. I WAS WRONG. Went about two hours with nothing but two dinks. Finally switched it up and went over to the swim cove. Caught 3 little ones quickly and then a chunky 16 incher. Then got nailed on a Code Blue BHW, boated a lone star beauty at 4 pounds 3 ozs. Ended up with another decent fish about 2 and a half pounds near the dam. Total weight for 5 fish was probably around 12 pounds. All of my fish over 15 inches came on a Code Blue Wobbler. Thanks to Brian for allowing me to pester his pets this weekend.
  20. REALLY? Any recent reports other Clayton tearing em up after our last Thursday nighter?
  21. I LOVE Mound City... But.... GRAVEL.
  22. Where should I fish tomorrow? Lonestar, or Mound City?
  23. I think PBRUSSELL Has caught some there last summer, but do not know if he has been out there lately.
  24. HAHAHAH Awesome. I want to fish The BBB next spring!
  25. How much room do you have for storage? With A swing away tongue you may be able to get more boat than you think.
