  1. Biggest fish was on a wobbler, all the others were on a jig or Hard head with a pitboss. I believe Keith caught his on a spinnerbait.
  2. Thanks! It was a blast! Hopefully Adam can load the pics on here, because I am having trouble getting into my photobucket.
  3. If I have to write a note about me breaking it, then what's the point? I mean I guess it's a mojo for $55. I am not willing to lie about it to come out $37 richer, that seems the same as stealing to me.
  4. Haha. Carelessness is covered! I am not insurance anymore. That 5 year chapter of my life is over. Don't worry about it. I don't need the pole anyways, I feel like I looked into the warranty claim last year and was not excited about the money I would need to spend to replace it. And I believe I shut a boat compartment door on it.
  5. I have a broken Mojo, what do they charge if you were being careless with the rod?
  6. that SUCKS. Sorry to hear it.
  7. I am debating taking my boat for tilt/trim there. BPS would be so convenient and the hourly charge is a $9 dollar difference. Shouldn't be a complicated deal no matter what is wrong with it. With my work schedule its such a pain to get up to US Boat works.
  8. The first TM I bought was a MK and it was junk. When I got my next motor, MG was the only one to make a transom mount foot controlled motor and I bought it reluctantly, But I put it through hell and it never gave me problems. Then, when I was looking to replace the one on my nitro I only had 600-700 in the budget, and based on the reviews I read at the time I decided to go with the MG.
  9. I have the X3 variable speed. So Far I like it. Just installed it a couple months ago, so haven't really stood the test of time, but the battery life seems way better and Variable speed is really nice.
  10. Went to Gardner Saturday with Adam W. We caught 13 or so on jerkbaits. Biggest was 3 lbs 2 oz, and we had 4 over 15 inches. Last one good fish, the rest were dinks. It was pretty slow most of the day. we went a good 2 hours before putting a fish in the boat. Water temp was 41-42. Did anyone chase trout at kill creek or SMP?
  11. My Tilt/Trim started moving VERY slow the other day. Looks like it may be leaking a little hydraulic fluid. Anyone have any tips on what I can check before taking it in to the shop? It is 1996 Tracker(Mercury) 115 Hp. I found an O-ring kit on ebay for it for about $30. Not sure how difficult it is to "rebuild" or replace all the O-rings. Or if I can tell if that is the problem.
  12. Jake and I hit mound city Saturday. Caught one good largemouth on a jerk bait. Really need some wind. After awhile we headed over to la cygne and got into the white bass and wiper for a bit. On another note, my motor trims up super slow when it gets to a certain point. Never had this problem before. Anyone have any insight on what I can check before I take it in somewhere? Also, trying to learn how to read side scan on the garmin. Is it good to go out of box? Or should I change some settings?
  13. Well I could follow you around Clinton and mark crappie spots instead
  14. SHOOOOT. Jake & I are between MC and La Cygne.
  15. Where is everyone headed this weekend?
  16. How many did you find last year? Care to share specifics on where you found them?
  17. I usually take a 3 day trip to Hannibal, Mo with my Dad & Grandpa to mushroom hunt. It is more of a family tradition then it is about mushrooms.
  18. Adam and I are thinking about going as well. The only problem I am running into is that may be prime Morel season.
  19. Something most be wrong with the front deck
  20. HAHA I wasn't referring to anyone is this thread or our group. Everyone was super helpful when I was looking at boats and had questions. But I take heat for the boat from people all the time. Even people who do not own ANY boats.
  21. Good points. Should also say that some fish n ski's are WAY worse than others.
  22. I bought a fish n ski this summer. I have had it out probably 20 times or so. Having never owned a bass boat it is hard to say how much more I would want a bass boat but I can give you my pros/cons. PROS It makes my wife happy. She likes to ski/tube and grew up on lake. It's great to take a couple friends out and everyone have a place to sit and what not. We plan on taking some family trips where I spend the morning fishing, and we spend the midday out on the lake with friends. Windshields are nice when it is cold. CONS Lack of Rod Storage. I would LOVE to have a big rod locker. I have broken several rods due to not having good places to put them. Lack of Deck Room- Nearly impossible to fish 2 out of the front ever. Limited area for mounting a large graph on the Dash (mainly because of the windshield) ** ribbing from "avid" fisherman that you bought a pleasure boat not a fishing boat (as long as you out fish them, what does if matter?) I was looking at both Bass and Fish N Ski boats, and in my experience it was easier to find an old fish n ski in great shape. The guy I bought it from owned it for 10 years and pretty much exclusively fished Clinton for Walleyes. He did pull his daughter on a ski with it some too, but overall it was in WAY better shape than some of the 1996 Bass Boats I looked at. (I was looking in a low price range $4-6k) I love my boat and have no regrets buying it, but I understand why someone would advise an avid bass-fisherman against buying one. Hope that helps
