  1. the lead law for june 1st 2016 states that all lead under 1oz is illegal, regardless of length. 1" used to be the minimum length but they are getting rid of that stipulation. best thing to do is sell them to someone who doesn't fish in NH or sell them on ebay. Get rid of them before june 1st or you could be in violation of illegal sale of lead. tungsten is where its at anyways!
  2. how did you make out? i fish there quite a bit.
  3. Got out on saturday afternoon. Was able to get my best of the year 6.3lbs on one of my own custom made creature baits. Missed more fish than I caught, they weren't always getting the hook. Hope the weather holds up, this is the perfect time of year!
  4. kayak fishing is fun, mostly because you can fish smaller areas most people dont or cant get to. its all about deciding how you want to catch fish that day when selecting a rod. Everyone is different but im usually bringing a 6'8-7' mh rod with either 15lb floro or 50lb braid. that way i can fish anything from jigs to stick baits to topwater flukes or frogs.
  5. i would spend most of my time on the drop shot like i do on most of the clearer lakes. focus some drop offs near briggs point and patch pond point. if you wanted to fish for shallow bass, the river on the south end is pretty good. the bays are also decent spots for shallow bass
  6. anyone with a boat looking to fish on the weekends? i can bring the baits!
  7. anyone have luck at merrymeeting lake yet? might be up there this weekend.
  8. baitjunkys for the plastic, color, glitter. btsmolds or basstackle for your molds.
  9. hand pours are usually good molds in my opinion, the only thing i dont use them with is stick baits. you need the plastic hot enough to reach the bottom and not have voids. when you have hot plastic the salt/sand sinks fast, so you will most likely end up with all your salt at the bottom of the mold. aside from that, they will still work and you will still probably get addicted like everyone else around here. cant stress enough to wear safety glasses, be super careful with the stuff its no joke, and make sure you have good ventilation.
  10. just placed an order tonight... everything is working fine for me. email sarah@basstackle.com

plastic is toxic stuff, not only will it stink up your house and linger for days, the toxins will probably stay in there for ever and activate when you cook your food in there. i wouldnt even think about eating anything that came within 10' of my plastic microwave lol

looks great! how do you not use the best lure in history?
  13. i got into it looking to only spend a little bit and produce a few baits that i'd fish. now i have a ton of money invested and every kind of bait you could imagine. my advice is not to get into it to save money, you will only save money in a long long run. plastic itself is fairly cheap, but then you have to factor in other things: glitter/paint/additives, molds, injectors (maybe), all the small tools like microwaves, pyrexcups, lee pots, etc. then of course hours of your time. its a great hobby i'd recommend it but only for the hobby, not for the money saved.
  14. not sure what all the fuss is about the RI beaver, i dont think the action on them is anything special.... im a flappin hog guy myself, might have to get some more brush hogs this year after all the good input.
  15. you can inject almost anything, yeah venting helps, but with the right trick you can figure it out. most injectors will work with most molds. you can even save a few bucks and buy a meat injector. just make sure its stainless steel. those meat injectors might not work right with molds. so be careful on that. i personally have a meat injector and one from bearsbaits. they both work good for different things.
