  2. Great start shaping up to be an awesome Classic!!!
  3. New here as well but this site is WAY above average!! Lots of people here ready to help with anything!!
  4. I remember the first time I had this as well, it was a 3lb Bucket fishing a 6in plastic worm. Tossed it out couple jigs and all of sudden my line was slowly moving off to the right against the current and I knew it was time to set! BAM fish on!! It was a great feeling, like I had finally graduated from Fry to Minnow hahahaha.
  5. Wow, that was a close one! Great story!!
  6. Hoooray for new boats, enjoy it!!
  7. Great info guys, I just picked up the saddle kits as well and can not wait to start tossing those guys out there!!
  8. I say buy a few packs of different brands and toss them out you never know what is going to work best in your neck of the woods...or I guess river/lake.
  9. Good luck down in Fl some beauties in those lakes down there! I have fished Stick marsh/Farm 13 and Blue Cypress down there with some really nice fish!
  10. Congrats on the new PB, great looking fish. I tried the swimming jigs for a bit last year with no joy but after doing some studying and searching I have learned I was throwing the wrong equipment in the wrong areas!!
  11. Toss up with KVD and Martens....we will see!!
  12. Yeah I am pretty sure I got message from you over on WA Lakes as well about fishing in the area haha, 06Roush over on that one.
  13. Thank you for the warm welcome everybody! Look forward to exploring everything on the site and of course can not wait to get out on the lake! I see your favorite lake is Spanaway, I have yet to hit it up but plan too quite a bit this year. Who knows might just see you out there.
  14. Thanks for the quick replies and that puts me on track for adding a new unit to the bow as well. I seen that an additional transducer is not that much and plan on getting one anyways just for a better reading of what is actually under me and not behind me. I will share the SS with the front unit though as needed. Once again thanks for the help guys!
  15. So to most of you this may be a dumb question but to the new guy with all this fancy equipment it is a little outside my knowledge range. So I ordered a HDS 10 Gen 2 w/ Structure Scan and I understand it has networking capability and what not. I also recently just found another HDS 10 without a transducer. My question is with the networking ability what exactly is shared? Will the transducer still be required to get full readings to an additional bow mounted HDS unit? Thank you for any help you can give, just want to know all that I will need to make an additional unit operational.
  16. I can only speak for Lowrance equipment and never have had a problem with them. I agree you already have it so might as well stick with the HDS units!
  17. I have been blessed with a wife that enjoys fishing and the outdoors just as much as I do. Sadly she can not come out as much as she would like due to longer work hours. Just the other day I brought up the idea of buying a new Lowrance Gen II for the boat and her reply was "If it will help me catch more fish than you, then yes, you should buy it". So the Gen II is on the way now! We just got our boat last summer so we are both ready to get back on the water ASAP!!! Here is my beauty:
  18. I agree bite may be slow but a great time to play with some electronics and find those new spots and try out some new techniques!!
  19. Signed, people always trying to take from the free world.
  20. +1 to that! I love that combo up here in WA.
  21. Drop shot with Roboworms worked great for me this year in WA. I also got some nice fish dragging a watermelon lizard on a carolina rig.
  22. New to the site and have a basic handle on bassin' but here to learn anything and everything I can and then hit the lake! Currently stationed at McChord AFB. I have a 1990 Ranger 361V with a 175 Evinrude to push me around the lake.
  23. Another new guy from Orting, WA. This site is pretty much awesome and has so much info!!
