  1. I ordered a lot of them. This was the first one I opened. Some trebles come with offset hooks but these are not supposed to be like that. I emailed them the pic only because it is a 2 pack and $7 per pack. If it was a cheaper, I wouldn't care as much and toss it in the trash. I was paying for quality so I expected quality. I know there are gonna be defects in everything made by man.
  2. So I am upgrading my trebles with Mustad KVD Elites and Trokar trebles. Went through the Mustads first and then opened the first Trokar and it is completely defected. I don't understand!
  3. Fishing a kayak tourney in Alabama, I caught about a 12 inch bass that had a 5 inch bass inside it's mouth. Inside the 5 inch bass, there was a 2 inch bream. I caught 3 fish by hooking one. crazy.
  4. you would have to pay me a $1 per bag to take them. haha. Not a fan of Berkley. Last few bags I got they didn't even cutoff the overpoured plastic.
  5. good point on not going up a size on anything suspending.
  6. 65s shows a hook size of 8. that is very small. You could probably fit 6s on it and you will increase hook ups.
  7. I had to google my lure and you can find someone talking about changing trebles. Once I learned bandits normally are size 6 and red eye shads are size 4, I know have a good idea of hook size. If you change to a short shank, you can up a size. I ordered size 2s for my Red eye shads and size 4 for the bandits. If you look up your lure on TW, it shows the hook size for most luck craft. not sure if it will let me link to TW but it is on there.
  8. TW also has the Round Bend's on sale.
  9. With TW having the deal on Trokars, I decided to stock up on treble hooks. Bought 25 packs of size 2 and 4 round bend. I know the Red Eye Shads can take 2's and the Bandits can take 4's. Going to finish upgrading the remainder of my hardbaits with Mustad KVD Elites. Good time to clean sweep my hardbaits and get rid of the ones I no longer use. be on the lookout for some lots on the classifieds forum. Strike King cranks, Rattletraps, etc. I guess the winter is a good time to reorganize and clean up.
  10. I use creature baits Texas rigged with a pegged sinker. I have been killing them lately.
  11. i use the rubber pegs. very easy and effective.
  12. hmmm, Bandit 200 War Eagle Spinnerbait Texas rigged crawdad
  13. not having a sealable bag is the reason I don't buy them.
  14. I am about to have 2 brand new Abu garica MGX's for sell.
  15. maybe swamp thing was going to get some lunch
  16. Academy Sports. I got the 6'6 Medium Heavy rod. Almost impossible to use efficiently from a kayak.
  17. I wanted to try out one of these for my ponds setup and travel setup. I got a great deal on a Mitchell 300 Pro to put on it. The handle is so long on the Ugly Stik that is almost unusable. When I compared it to my other rod handles, it was a good 5 to 6 inches longer. Why do they do this? I am going to cut off about 5 inches off the bottom and put a saltwater rod butt over it. Anybody every done this? I only paid $25 for the rod so I am not to worried about modding it.
  18. I have all SX's and never had a problem. Haven't felt the urge to move up a level.
  19. no. But Bull Shad is worth the money.
  20. WHen I used braid,I always used a leader, especially in saltwater. Now I only use braid for flipping applications and I tie straight with no leader.
  21. Wal Mart has 150 yd spools for $12. I would use Power Pro cause I have 5 half spools of it laying around. I would use Braid backing since that is what Aaron martens says to do in the latest *** video. ha
  22. talking about using braid backing with mono on top vs straight mono. You would save yourself 100 yards of mono every time.
