  1. its all in the hips, its all in the hips. wait, that is happy Gilmore, not fishing
  2. none of them. ha
  3. I used to love All-Star rods before they were outsourced. They are still decent rods for the price (on sale at Academy a lot of the time) but I would go for a Vendetta over one of them.
  4. I noticed Dicks Sporting Goods already has these in stock. Anybody tried them yet? I am interested in the popper and walk-the-dog lures. Might have to grab a few of each to try out to see if they are worth using.
  5. hell Ambassadeurs were 5 gear ration and that is all I used growing up.
  6. I have always texas rigged my craw dads. I have started putting them on jig trailers and have yet to catch one on it. I am going to continue to stick with jigs and move away from my Texas Rigging. Hopefully I will have better results once the temps drop down.
  7. not for people fishing for fun or for food.
  8. will check on the way home!
  9. I own a Dobyns, 13, Powell, Vendetta, Veritas, St Croix, and Kistler to name a few. Next time I buy a rod, I am getting another Kistler KLX. My favorite of the bunch.
  10. I use both for different applications.
  11. I use Scrounger Jigs with the skirt and add a Zoom Super Salty Fluke to it as a trailer. Bass love it. So do stripers.
  12. it gets bad reviews. I have one and it is the solid chartreuse one. I prefer Red Eye Shads or Aruku Shads.
  13. Bart is where it is at. Caught a five pounder in a tournament this weekend on the bart.
  14. no in my opinion. Lead is only a minor thing in the water compared to the hundreds of companies that dump pollution in the water. Also, lead weights work just great. No need in paying double for Tungsten.
  15. I am in Alabama. We haven't hit the peak of summer yet. haha
  16. Here are some you should try NetBait C-Mac V&M Wild Thang
  17. i bought a pack too but haven't caught anything on them yet
  18. Baitcasters > I don't throw much light tackle but when I do I use a spinning reel. I am much more accurate with my baitcasters. I normally carry 4 baitcasters and 1 spinning reel on my kayak. I use spinning for shaky head.
  19. just buy 30. I actually use 20lb Mono on my 6000.
  20. well I bit the bullet and got a Kistler KLX for $134 shipped. I already have an ***, Dobyns, & Powell, so figured I would try another brand.
  21. I just got a Powell Diesell Glass crank rod and it is awesome.
