I had the same problem with the rage toads. The claws will break off at the exact same place. There must be a weak spot in the arms. My only complaint with Rage products. I have even broken some off pulling them out of the package.

dude, I can catch fish on Texas rigged craws but cannot for the life of me catch one on a beaver flipping bait. I have just about given up. I am sticking to Missile D Bombs from here on out.

well I stock up on my Trokars when they have the quarterly buy one get one free at Academy. So when you buy them then, they are the same price as a Gammy. I don't play around when it comes to hooks. You get what you pay for. Bass Pro hooks are cheap and cheap made.

I do not lose hooks with Trokar. My hookup percentage has increased 10 fold since moving from generic to Trokar.

I bought some from Academy on clearance and as not impressed. I will use them up but will not buy anymore.

I just got the Toro 50HS. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Mainly which brand do you like the best. Shimano or Abu.

I have the Dobyns SMBT 795. I like the shorter handle since it is easier to handle on a kayak. Only difference between SMBT 795 and the Mike Long is the handle length by 3 inches.

I do believe the 5500C3, etc are made in Sweden and the new STX, etc are going to be made elsewhere.

I am still not 100% completely sold on Rage tail. My first pack was the frogs and I had a problem with the Rage Tail part tearing off very easily around the same spot on all of them.

so the STX is gonna be $99 with the S being $59. I believe the SX will be around $79. Weird that they would make reels very similar to the 5500C3 in the same price range. I believe the 5500c3 is now going to be $120 so the new ones are going to be below the originals.

I just broke a Rick Clunn S-Glass crank stick and the warranty + shipping will cost more for what I paid for it. I just bought a Powell Diesel instead.

I have seen a lot about how they are updating the 5500C3, etc., But have you guys seen the round reels that bear the same name as the Revo reels. The STX, SX, & S? I wonder what the difference in these and the 5500C3 are? I first saw them in the Abu Garcia 2014 Catalog and some youtube videos are starting to come out.

I just started making some molds out of Plaster of Paris. Very easy and effective. I would start with that as a beginner.

I think they are going to be 3 5 8 and 10. Not sure the equivalents. The 3 looked to be a regular size body.

Great looking product. Only knock is they are $8.99 and right next to the KVD's that are only $5.99. Hard to pay for the Storm when the KVD's are $3 cheaper.

hey possibly a dumb question. I have just been using my older soft plastics and remelting them. If I get the pourasol, what do you guys use for the colors? I see they have the dyes. What size dye do you get?

Wanted to see what everyone uses. I use War Eagle cause the skirts are hand tied with wire and not the cheap rubber band that dry rots. Anybody else use some awesome spinnerbaits?

I fish saltwater a lot. Couldn't figure out how to do one with the legs and antennae so I opted for a legless one. Put it on a popping cork and something will hit it. I bought some glitter and some more plaster to make some better molds now that I have my feet wet. Going to take my 3 favorite ones out of this group and make a mold that can make 5 or 6 lures at one time of the same lure.

I grabbed some of the bone colored spooks for saltwater. for $1, hard to beat them, even if they do rust out in a week.

I have all Abu's and they are the best. I have had Curados, Quantums, etc, that have all broke down on me. 2 out of 3 of my Shimanos were lemons. Haven't owned another since. I have yet to have an Abu Garcia brake down on me.
