  1. BPS in Orlando still has both ratios. I just picked up another HG with the trade in, and saw them on the shelf. Maybe 2 of each?
  2. I fish two Loomis 803s and love then. One is my t-rig rod (BCR GLX) and I use one for small swimbaits (NRX). I find that the 6'8 is the best length for me for these applications as I'm often fishing close to the boat but need pinpoint accurate casts to grass and docks.
  3. I was in the market for a new frog reel as well...and bought the Tatula. I have one already (and LOVE it), but what really sold me is the max drag rating and max drag performance from the TT test. Max drag rated to 13.2 lbs, and tested at 16.13 lbs. I fish frogs in the nastiest Florida grass and pads, and thought this would be a good way to go.
  4. Just got a 7.2 as well, and took advantage of the BPS reel trade in to save $30 on it.
  5. A ML *** would do the trick as well. Great value there.
  6. From BPS, the only one that I could find that wasn't white was the BPS Darter Jighead. Works really well for me. If you want to expand from BPS, I have found that the Revenge XL Headz or the Dirty Jigs pair really well and can match a shad color nicely.
  7. If I were to target them, anything white. Caught a nice one on a frog last week in really shallow water in deep cover. That was interesting.
  8. Nice work on the Bitters Vibe....Really solid bait. Fished Butler today....buddy and I probably caught a 15+ lb sack, not bad for this time of year. Nothing topwater, nothing on a single swimbait, nothing on any kind of shallow/med diving crankbait. Caught a few decent ones on lizards and then hammered them on frogs. Nothing huge, but a lot of 3 pounders.
  9. I still have and use my first "good" rod occasionally....a St Croix 6' ML Spinning rod....mid 90s.
  10. Is it braid? If so, some tape on the spool will fix the issue.
  11. They had a trailer at the Toho Southern Open Weigh-In, and I stopped in to check the lures out. They had the clear versions to show the insides, and I found the exact same thing that you did. The circuit board, with LED lights, and the frog sound turned me off. Well that and the lack of smaller profile baits. The person manning the booth was in agreement with me that the forage of the lakes I fish didn't come clear to matching the cranks in size. I wanted to buy the trap, but couldn't with the LED lighted eyes.
  12. The DT6 was getting plugged all day long from Zona and Crew. Seems like a lot of the guys were throwing it.
  13. This is what I heard as well, it definitely seemed that he used the DT6 for the vast majority of his bites.
  14. I didn't get a chance to get in the group...can someone send me the information for next round?
  15. Going to be a great weigh-in! Amazingly close
  16. Hard to believe KVD didn't make the top 25
  17. And now he is back on the water....amazing that they changed his lower unit out so quickly.
  18. He thinks he is only 30 minutes out from being back on the water at this time...
  19. Krave Black Cherry Pork Jerky, Peanut Butter Cliff bars, and loads of water. Warning....eating Krave Jerky ruined Jack Links for me....and I would hammer down a couple of bags. I can't eat it anymore, Krave is that good.
  20. The CI4+ is a great reel, and for $40 more, totally worth it over the CI4. I have mine paired on an 852 NRX and another on a ML ***.
  21. I don't know of anywhere on Butler where you can rent boats. I can vouch for Turkey Lake having a lot of nice bass in it, I have caught 3 bass over 8 lbs there in the last 12 months.
  22. Turkey Lake has a boat rental program Thursday-Sunday from 7-11AM. The cost is around $30, and a great deal. Boats are trolling motor only. You can call the park for more information and to make reservations. Good luck!
