to go along with the weighted gammy swimbait hooks I also use a weedless swimbait head by blade runner tackle but they come with a 5/0 hook so that is where my 6 inch basstrix go. also never more than 15 lb McCoy copoly...

How To Make A Zoom Horny Toad Float???
try using braid as it floats better than most lines use the hook size that best fits the bait, and don't let it sit so long to allow it to sink, using it as a topwater it shouldn't sit to long, just a quick pause then jerk it again.

Flipping / Soft Plastics For Bigginners
get a 5 gallon bucket, tie on a 1/2 oz jig or weight, place it about 5 ft away and practice flipping into it till you can get at least 8 out of ten in the bucket, them move it farther way and start again. I did this with my gson and now he out flips me.

Maintaining A Large Outboard
i learned years ago I am not a motor mechanic so the best thing I ever did, was do a local search and find the best mechanic around and let him do a yearly service..500 or so a year is not to much to protect the motor...on my first triton the dealer recommended chevron 87 and I have never switched other words I would not put the cheaper gas or oil in your motor.

Line For C-Rig And Jig
I typically use McCoy copolymer for both applications, Crig 15 with a lighter leader, jigs 20lb and have never had a problem, heck never have a problem with McCoy. braid is tough but still a cloth and in my opinion will not hold up as well scraping the rocks as the copolymer or floro.

Where Would You Fly?
depending on how much time you have after you get there. I would head to lake fork, tx as there about 4 more lakes within a couple of hours so not tied to one lake.

St Croix Avid Vs Premier Baitcasting Rod
I have been fishing St. Croix premiers for the last 15 years now have about 20 plus and have never had one break on its own I have broke a tip by my mistake. Sometime BPS has both models in the store but not always the exact one you want so hunt them down then make ur decision with them in you hand.

Need Help Setting Up 3 Baitcasters 1Spinning Setup For Beginner Bass Fisherman
we can give you a thousand ideas on what to use and confuse the heck out of ya. do a search for dobyns, loomis, and st.croix rods, they all have their rods listed with recommended baits for the weight and tip action of their rods, this will give u a great starting point. but more important is learning to properly setup and use the baitcaster. do a search on you tube and watch the videsos and read how to properly setup the caster as it needs to be adjusted for each type bait. if you dont do that no matter what bait you use you wont be fishing much cause of the time fixin backlashes. practice tool...get a 5 gallon bucket and start by pitchin a jig into it..start at few away then move farther away as the days go by..

Found A Chatterbait Today...

Casting Braid On A Baitcaster
I use 65lb McCoy, but no matter what line u use if the BC is not setup correctly which means for every different bait the result just maybe a rats nest thumb or no thumb..check ur tension, the bait should drop to the ground slowly with very little thumb pressure.

on windy days or stronger current more is always better, if you can wait and go to a 36v system the 101 would be even better.
