These reels dont do good with braid. Found the same problem.

All you really need is a hook, swivel and weight.

Fished there for the first time and caught 30 pound bag. Anyone else doing good there?

Use a lighter line. I have used these for years and the newer ones seem to not have the same action. What type of rod are you throwing it on?

Tequila Shad and Tequila Sunrise......Some of the best go to bait to caught lots of fish and big fish.

There is a rebel crank bait that looks like a cricket.......I think its called the crick hopper. This is an awesome bait to catch bluegill and the bass. Sometimes even big bass. You can reel it really slow and it just makes a ripple across the water. Its a key bait!
