double check your knots when lobbing 1/2 ounce rattletraps i had one come loose and smack the back of my head i actually had to sit down to stop the lake from spinning and then had my buddy take the hooks out of my scalp while he busting a gut laughing

does anyone on this site have any experience with this rod. i really want to get in cranking this season and want an appropriate rod for the job and this one is well within my budget

i used a gold blue fox vibrax inline spinner last fall and pulled in trout after trout i just cast it out and let in sink to the bottom of whatever pond i was fishing reeled slowly with occasional twitches in the line and they nailed it it may work for wherever you fish

caught my first bass at age 2 in 1993 a ky bass that was barley legal size to take and my grandad had it mounted didnt fish again till i was eight or nine when my grandad took me and my little brother bluegill fishing still didnt catch till my junior year in high school and if me and my buddies were not at someones house drinking beer and jammin on guitar on a friday night we were at the lake trying to catch them kittys. It wasnt till i was 19 (im 21) when a guy from work took me smallmouth fishing that i got hooked on bass fishing and now it hurts when i havent fished for a long time

i use the black max since i just started to learn how to use a baitcaster and i love it i got mine from dicks for around 80...everyone knocks the rod but i havent found a problem outta it.

my grandad took me fishing when i was six or seven all for bluegill and occaisionally throw a cat pole to the depths...it wasnt till high school that i got back into fishing again...all catfishing kinda got into bass fishing there but never caught anything so i put the lures up...it wasnttill last spring when a guy at my work took me fishing at a creek loaded with smallmouths that i got into bass fishing fully and now i drive everyone crazy especially the girlfriend i dont know how she puts up with it lol

finally got me a pack of rage craws and i love them on my swim jigs...smashed a local pond last weekend with that combo never had to switch poles i like berkleys chigger craws and powerteam craws as well especially with the hog tonic

20# mono and i havent had a knot slip on me since ive looked up different knots...i was going to put it on as extra insurance mostly

Im entering a catfishing tournament this weekend with some big money on the line and while i am pretty confident in my knot tying abilities and have had only a few slip on me since ive learned how to properly tie one. i was thinking of putting superglue on my knots to help strthen them so if by chance i due hook into a monster i have less to worry about.so my question is will the scent of superglue make the catfish steer clear of my bait since they are scent hunters?

while catfish i had my brand new monster setup out in the water huge sinker big hook...and it got snagged on something on the bottom. we were in a rented pontoon with pole holders and my buddy said we would drive to the other side and free the line so i didnt have to cut it. well while he was taking his time pulling anchor and securing everything i see the boat drifting backwards and this 10 foot pole collapse the pole holder and go right in the drink. about 20 foot of water. and recently i had a 1/2 ounce red eye shad tied on went to cast the knot slipped and the luire bashed me the the back of the head so hard it broke skin luckily though i didnt get stuck by any hooks

i use a bass pro finesse binder and keep all my hooks in their packaging its helped me out a lot. i find it easier to navigate thru

If I'm getting off my 12 hour night shift and go to my local pond I always play my real heavy music ( old Metallica, lamb of god, slayer) but if I'm off and I go by myself then I normally listen to Waylon or brad paisley. If I'm with my buddies or my girlfriend the music stays in the car
