  1. Tell me about it, 8 days and 1000mg of hydrocodone and more tylenol than any human should consume in that period an average of 15-20 pills per day is what should be a fatal dose of tylenol in 24 hours... somehow though nothing noticiable happened I've probably done irreversible damage though. Thanks for the tip I'm scared to say anything for fear he will take me off the one thing that's worked for the pain.
  2. I have been having back pains for over a year now, last nov had an mri that showed 2 herniated disc in my thoracic spine and DDD ( degeneritive disc disease ) in my lower spine. A neurosurgeon said it wasnst serious enough for surgery, so I did physical therapy and non narcotic medications.. none of which helped... so because doctors wouldn't give me anything I started buying pain meds on my own... last month I finally got to a dr who prescribed me 5mg loratabs 3 times a day ( 90 per month ) well between the 15th of this month and 23rd I had taken all mine plus 80 more 5mg and 15 10mg norcos.. you do the math... but its the only thing that even slightly eases the pain. I'm not sure what to do... I've been clean since the 23rd. I hurt severly I have 2 boys 1 and 2.. all I want is to be able to play with them and not be in excruciating pain.. some days this pain literally debilitates me to where I can do nothing...... lost and confused..
  3. Looking for either a MH with good back bone or maybe H for bigger spinner baits maybe even some jigs ect lipless crank baits, and a medium for other lures and such any advice would be apreciated.
  4. Would seabed areas be a good spot for bass fishing? I've been studying my navitronics map app for areas I don't normally fish and found some seabed areas and was curious about fishing them, the negitives and positives if there are any thanks for any help.
  5. I put the spinner on it.. that is not the only lure I used that day, my negitive aspect was more for sensitivity based off of using other lures.
  6. I fish fresh water but was curious if it would make a difference at all if i used a rod that was a saltwater rod. Thanks.
  7. Can anyone tell me the major difference in these rods other than price? I was at Dicks sporting goods and checking these rods out so I picked up one of each identical in length and power... and I could not tell the difference between the 2. So I just wanted to see if anyone knows any major differences between these series. I've been debating on getting a St. Croix for awhile now. Thanks for any responses in advance.
  8. After seeing some good reviews I decided to try them out... got a MH 7' rod for all purpose really. At first the rod felt good, nice and light and felt like it had a pretty stiff back bone. I had the pleasure of using it today here is what I found. 1/2 oz spinner bait..... while reeling in my rod was bending as if I had something on it ( sadly I did not ) I love my spinner baits they are my go to confidence lure... this rod dissappointed me using them... I will be taking it back to academy... now if someone here can tell me what causes that sort of thing or possibly something I'm doing to make it do such a thing feel free... also despite what anyone I've seen say says.... I think the sensitivity on these rods is not so good... just my 2 cents on them, save your money.
  9. Sounds like you got her dialed in pretty good to me, just remember to check and make adjustmeants when switching lures/baits and to loosen up that drag when your done for the day and put it up to prolong the life of your reel and drag system. Good luck... I love my lews casting reel, by far the best reel I've ever used especially for the price it can't be beat in my opinion. Welcome to the lews club
  10. Still nothing aye, guess no one uses this reel or a similar enough to give advice o.O
  11. I haven't gotten to use it yet just bought it yesterday, but it was the speed spin 400a. So that's why I was hoping for some feedback on it. If it performs like my lews baitcaster ( obviously different reels ) but if it's par for what I expect out of lews then I'll be super happy I bought it. Is your SS 100A good for weightless senkos, small rooster tails and basically any finesse fishing styles? Also since I couldn't find a medium light rod did I make thw right choice in just getting the 6'8 Medium H20 Ethos express rod? Here are the rods stats. Also I chose the #8 Berkley 100% fluro to put on the reel. Power:M Number Of Guides:6 plus tip Handle Length (in.):9 Overall Length (ft.):6'8" Number Of Pieces:1 Line Weight (lb.):6 - 12 Action:Medium Lure Weight (oz.):1/8 - 3/8
  12. Wow nothing so far... shocked...
  13. I agree I'd go with the 6.4:1 not much of a difference in .6 per turn, guess on a super long cast you may feel the difference but as far as burning a spinner bait... not much difference in my opinion.
  14. If ya switch my votes to go with the lews... I only have the Lew's® Tournament SS TS1-H not the pro but its the best performing baitcaster I've used hands down, so I can only imagine the pro would be even better. Sorry you've had so m so many problems with your gen 3
  15. Ardent makes reels, a lot of people only know them for their reel cleaning supplies but they make some reels, pretty pricey though, never used one myself due to that so can't speak on their quality or performance but they are made in the usa as far as I know.
  16. If you're talking baitcasters the Lew's® Tournament SS TS1-H in my opinion can't be beat for the price I absolutely love mine, it is hands down one of the best baitcasters I've used. Great casting, great drag system, smooth as silk reeling.. all around a superb reel in my opinion. Mine was 149 $ so looks like you're getting a good deal, depends on what your lookin for from what i see the tour pro is. 7.1:1 has an extra bearing and weoghs less is all i see on paper.... so you can't go wrong with either if your looking for the 7.1:1 ratios.. I can only speak for mine ( opted for the 6.4:1 ) version of the tour speed spool.. best money I've spent thus far on a baitcaster.... good luck with your choice.. be sure and ler us know what ya get. If Ya Hook Em' Keep Them Lines Tight!
  17. Baitcaster or spinning reel?
  18. Add on: wanted a medium light rod but they had none in store... so I figured this would work just as well.
  19. I bought this reel and an H20 express ethos 6'8 M spinning rod. Basic question. Is this the right set up for throwing out my light weight stuff i.e weightless senkos, rooster tails ect and for finesse fishing? Gonna be trying out the Berkley trilene 100% flurocarbon line on it heard some good things about this line. Basically just looking for some thoughts or suggestions, input ect on what I bought today. As always thanks & and when ya got em hooked keep them lines tight!
  20. Both is double the money, I may eventually get both but right now I am looking for one or the other and the area I live to get maps that cover all the lakes in this area would be a nice chunk of change and I fish pretty much all of them because each place is at max a 45 min drive from where I live.
  21. Thanks for your input gonna wait for a few more people to chime in, well hopefully a few more people will respond anyways. Agian, Thank you for your experiences, thoughts and opinions, much appreciated Jay!
  22. Debating on buying this app for my phone or should I just get a regular map from a local store, the advantages I see to the app is obviously it is not limited to just one body of water. Also the Navionics app has an HD ( High Definition - for those who may not know ) version. Has anyone used the app to give some feedback and if anyone has used the HD version is it worth the extra money over the regular version? Thanks for any input. IF YA' GOT EM' HOOKED, KEEP THEM LINES TIGHT!
  23. Not sure what the ***** means but guessing it's not a nice word lol, but you're saying every baitcaster you've bought out of the oned listed suck? You must have some really bad luck with buying bum reels or something cause I'm not sure how out of all those brands you haven't had a reel you absolutly love or at least enjoy using. Good luck and I hope you eventually find one you can love.
  24. If I ever happen to be passing through that way might give him a visit, should anyone who goes just say sam sent us?
  25. I'm not sure I see a problem, throwing a 3/8oz spinner bait 60 ft is a good distance and should be more than enough unless your fishing a huge lake or super wide river and trying to get dead in the middle of either.... 60 ft should be plenty, but flushing the bearings couldn't hurt at all it could only improve them, but if you do that get ready to re-adjust your settings you're use to cause that will surely change it. Just my 2 cents and hope it helps. Good luck with it and keep yer' line tight when ya got em hooked.
