Hydrilla Problem In Local Ponds And Lakes
Another trick you may do, I would suggest early in the mornings, get yourself a rake with the teeth, tie a rope to the handle...about 30 feet or so. Now you can toss that out and pull sections of weed out making a channel to fish that will roughly be about 18" wide and the weeds around will fill in some reducing the canopy giving you better success with frogs or whatever else topwater, but also let you run other baits below down the channels that the bass will use to forage as the baitfish will use these as a highway to move about. Get yourself a few channels around where you want to fish. Should take no more then a couple hrs for the fish to settle.

The first arrival date was in Nov....then that was back in August. I'm just hoping they get them in before the card I used expires.

Daiwa Tatula Grooving Issues
Being you're in San Diego, worse case, you take a road trip up to their service center right up the fwy about an hr and take it to them personally in Los Alamitos. I've dropped off many reels there to be serviced and they are quick with turn around as well as fair priced.

Any Interest In Me Carrying Keitech Baits?
I can find the 4" live Impacts, but can't find anyone that carrys the larger size believe it's a 5". But fan of the 3-4" Swing Impacts, have their core sticks although haven't fished them yet, like the easy shinners. But think the newer sized Little Spiders would fit right in with some of your plain jigheads. And I do buy their jigs but only because you don't carry tungsten jigs and like the smaller profile but in a heavier jig.

It's all good. It's just how you put things into your posts. Could of came off wrong. I was just being honest and upfont. If you wanted sympathy you probably weren't going to get it.

Spro Bbz-1 Rat
Im not real impressed on the BBZ 1 trout baits, have two of the 6" but hardly fish them. They just don't seem to get bit very well. Atleast not at the times I bought them when I first got into fishing swimbaits. Probably should fish them more in the summer.

Spro Bbz-1 Rat
I ordered mine (2 of them) in August, so still waiting. Plan on fishing them at night, along weed beds, and generally anywhere inbetween. That is whenever it shows up....hopefully before summer.

S Weaver Questions
Just a few quick quetions about these. #1 what size line do you fish on the 120's and 168's? #2 What's your overall impression of these? #3 What do you feel is the best conditions you have found to fish them? Mind you I do fish swimbaits, but looking at these to be able to put a kicker fish or two in the boat for tournaments and really don't want to pack the bigger swimbait gear, so thinking these would be a great option. Just want a bit more info on them and personal opinions. Thanks in advance.

I Need A Job....
Small stores don't need people because they are a small store operation. Stop procrastinating and get off the couch and go apply. Flip burgers at McDonalds if you have to. The real world isn't going to be handed to you. Step up, put forth the effort. You "Need" to apply yourself to finding a job just as much as you do in your quest for catching bass. Attitude is everything, just remember that. Until you get that job, all those "needs" are wants. My son wants a car when he turns 16, my response was well then sounds like you NEED to get a job and pay for it. Sorry to be so blunt but you're not gonna get much simpathy from most of us adults that work hard to have what we do. It's how most of us were raised.

Small Swimbaits
X2 for this answer. But would include the Fat Swing Impact as well.

3Xd Replacment Hooks?
I run this style hook on all my cranks, even rig my swimbaits with them and haven't had any issues. These get my vote.

Do Bass Know When The Lake Is Stocked With Trout?
I would stick with the 8" models. Bought a 6", not impressed at all. If you're going to fish a 6" bait buy a 68 Hudd.

Substitutes For Deep Cranking ?
If you have the "Bifflehead" style football swing headed jigs, throw those and drag/swim them across the bottom with a Biffle bug, Rage Structure Bug, Menace Grub...etc.

I Am Ready To Buy 2-3 High Dollar Swimbaits...looking For Some Advice..
Welcome to the dark side. Fishing swimbaits of the 8" size and up look big to start with, until you see that bait inhaled down the throat of the bass that choose to eat it. I would also recommend Triple Trouts. I fish swimbaits by one simple rule. If it's a hard bait, I want it to float or fish up in the top of the water column. Softer baits fished deeper. My list happens to include these MS Slammers Hudds (ROF 5's and 12's) both 8" and 68's Savage Gear Line Thru (all floaters that I can modify to suspend or slow sink) Faster kick then the Hudd . Triple Trout (all floaters in both regular and cut tail) I did happen to just buy a few (6) of the S-Weavers to try out and fish since they are reasonably priced and all 6 were less then 2 of the Mega Bass I Slides, but do want both sizes of those baits as they look great and like the idea of how they have magnets to hold the hooks up tight to the body. If you can get your hands on a Deps 175 or the 250 they are great glide baits, but costly.

Changes In Equipment Just For The People Who Must Have The Latest ?
Sorry I was busy upgrading my phone from the one I got last week.....j/k If your electronics are already top of the line when you bought them last year and are just upgrading to upgrade is a bit over the top. If that's the reason, well you're going to need to upgrade before the end of summer because your unit will be obsolete again. Just like computers, electronics are always being upgraded to something newer. If you chase the shinny bells and whistles you're spending money just to spend it. But if that's what you want to do then by all means understand your doing it because you want the shinny new unit . But If you're upgrading to a nicer unit from years of fishing with a basic unit and haven't had one with that can do what the newer units can then your upgrade is an improvement. I basically believe if you're going to buy electronics for a boat, buy what you want the first time and fish it, and learn it. You will get more fishing time using a unit you know then spending that time trying to figure out that new one you just bought. But your choice. I'm not one that will stand in line each year for a new Iphone just because, but there are those that will. Doesn't matter what it is, some people want the new stuff just to have it.

Umbrella Rigs For Smallies??
I don't like the action on the money minnows. Here is a list of what I fish on umbrella rigs Kitech Swing Impacts 3-4" Kitech Shinners 3-4" Lunker City Grubsters 3.25" Big Bite's Shad 3" The Grubsters are a fat body bait with a good kick to it that would give you more action then the money minnow will. I normally mix up a few different styles and let the fish tell me what they want.

I Need A Job....
I'm sure they do. You wouldn't be able to sell guns but you could sell fishing equipment. I know I was working when I was 16. Besides, where else are high school kids going to work. Sounds like one of those trips to get things you "need", you need to pick up an application and talk to a manager. But realize it will cut into your fishing time, but that's what happens when you start working.

I Need A Job....
Needing or wanting? You should work on getting a job at Academy then you can get a discount on what you "need".

Tube-A-Holic
It's only a problem if you're not catching fish. If it isn't broke don't fix it. I think I fished a dropshot 1 time last year and most of the summer I had a 3/4 or 1oz punch jig tied on with a DB Craw or some other trailer. I have no idea how many craw baits I have but also have aquired many tube baits to punch with too. You only go to meetings when there is a problem. If your problem happens to be you buy a bunch of tubes in gross and DON'T CATCH FISH....then you need help. But if you're catching, please report the the Bait Monkey Support Posting Thread where your purchases will be understood and accepted.

Do Bass Know When The Lake Is Stocked With Trout?
Look into Savage Gear's Line Thru's in the 8". They make a floater which is under 4oz and runs about $18.00. My biggest fish last year was caught on one of these. Funny part, the day before I had a fish follow a 6" BVD jr. Brought the swimbait gear back the next, got a 9lb fish and had another 10-12 followers between 4-8lbs. Sometimes 3 or 4 all trying to get the best angle to attach but just wouldn't commit. You think this would be normal for trout eating bass....bad part they hadn't stocked any trout in 3 months and it was the 4th of July. You think there are fish in there that eat trout, they will eat a swimbait 12 months of the year. Just have to have faith in fishing it. And when they stock, the trout are going to slowly move out. Look for deeper banks where they can use the shoreline to pin them or push them up in the shallows. Got one right after a trout stock that bit basiclly at my feet. Believe it was the same fish that I missed 2 casts prior that boiled on my swimbait as I pulled it out of the water. Throw the swimbait and they will come.

Dropshot
All depends. You have other factors and conditions to look at as well.
