  1. I make it out about 3 or 4 times a summer at night. I wish I would go more because you are absolutely right. Then big girls like to hit them banks after midnight and the sound of a topwater getting hit in the dark is an awesome rush!
  2. Also try throwing a fluke into these boils.
  3. Long casts and count your lure down before you begin your retrieve. Throw beyond the baitfish and work your lure under the baithfish and into deeper water. Like already said, be careful not to get to close. Keep the baitfish just inside of casting range.
  4. T-Rigs, heavy jigs and carolina rigs are your best bet unless they are in 20' or less of water then a crankbait will be another alternative. Finding the right structure is key and if that structure also has cover on it you should be on them. Use a high floating rubber for your Carolina rig and make sure it will float the size hook you are using. This is something a lot of people learning to use a C-Rig neglect. A heavy hook with a plastic that sinks will defeat the method all together. You'll just be dragging your plastic across the bottom. Good Luck
  5. I agree with everyone but would like to add one thing. Try a heavy jig or pegged T-Rig (1 ounce) to punch a hole in the mat and use a large bait like a strike king iguana or a 7 inck senko. The smaller more aggresive bass may leave these alone allowing the larger bass to zone in on this larger meal.
  6. Heres a few colors I make.
  7. Crankbait, spinnerbait, jig all in one. You really can't fish them wrong.
  8. Hook ups and blades coming detached are the 2 biggest complaints about the original.
  9. I too had the same problem with Bryon and Daimon Lures to the tune of $265.00. He agreed to pour my jigs for me so I sent him my molds, 3 pounds of paint and hooks. I received only half of my 2000 jig order and 80% of those were not usable product. I got stiffed on the product received and had to file a paypal dispute to get the $265 back. This was after many phone conversations with Bryon. You cannot believe what he tells you and I have been spreading the word on his business practices. I ended up paying him $335 for 200 usable football heads and 800 pieces of junk >
