If you dont mind saying what lake is it? I fish a few southern michigan lakes often. A lot of time the locals are full of fish stories. Recently they had a tourney that fished a couple of the lakes in southern michigan and the biggest bass was a little over 5lbs.

The sec doesnt schedule anyone out of conference other than fcs teams. And its pretty easy to match lsus non conference wins. which is 1. They lost in their bowl game to clemson a non conference team. Or did you think that because alabama won, all sec teams won?

Do you watch college football? I ask because nobody, asides from lou holtz thought notre dame had a chance at winning the ncg. Notre Dames schedule was ranked 8th by the ncaa for toughest schedules last year. Let me repeat by the NCAA. Alabama wasnt even in the top 10. in fact the ncaa ranked their schedule 33rd in the country. Going 12-0 is not living in the history. If you want a prime example of living in the history just take a stroll through this thread, all ive heard about is past championships of the sec. Notre Dame didnt go down to play the sec, they went down to play alabama. The sec didnt beat notre dame, alabama did. If the whole sec beat nd then we could easily say the whole big east beat the sec because Louisville beat Florida.

Notre Dame has the second most national championships, and the most Heisman winners in all of college football. No conference needed.

When i switched from mono to braid. I got some of the same issues. I found that with braid i needed to run the spool tension a little tighter. I think braid has a little more friction going through the guides than mono or fluro so you loosen up the spool more to compensate to get it too drop smoothly which causes it to get going faster than the lure when you are actually casting and not setting it. That has worked for me, or putting on another set of brakes. I could be way off but i got that exact same issue when i was out on the water recently and made that adjustment and was fine the rest of the day.

I need to setup a steelhead rod for tomorrow, and i have never fished for them before. I hear they put up quite a fight so i dont want to risk snapping any of my good bass rods. So i was considering putting a president reel on a 6ft medium ugly stick and kind of texas rigging spawn sacks with a weight so they drift up from the bottom. The reel has 30lb power pro with 10 fluro leader. will this work? When i went out today it looked like a lot of people had 8ft plus rods, but they were only fishing about 10 yards of water where the steelhead were dammed up.

I dont think the bcs loves bama, as much as the love the winner of the sec and the sec as a whole. I know its early but the sec looked weak from what i saw yesterday. Or at least the ranked teams of the sec did. I think alabama, and t a&m would of got smoked by clemson yesterday. For Georgia and clemson to come and play week 1 like they did showed how strong they were, while the two ncg teams of last year had a rather lack luster performance and the defenses looked like a highschool team compared to last year. And texas a&m, with out johnny showoff they would be nobody. I think that was proven yesterday. His attitude i think turned a ton of people off yesterday. This kid is a scandal waiting to happen. Whats everyone think about this new disqualification rule? I hate it.

What does it matter how many ncgs your conference has won in a row? It only matters how many ncgs your team has won in a row. No way alabama goes to the ncg this year, They should of lost to lsu and georgia last year. And judging by yesterdays performance they will for sure this year.

some people think they know everything, not to mention if i show someone where to catch big fish, and they go over fish the spot. It ruins the spot for me. I have no problem showing people how to fish, but i dont want to ruin a spot.
