  1. Pretty much an aluminum framed Core 50 that will retail for $200.
  2. Eaten at her restaurant? Does the food there suck? I've tried two of her recipes from the Food Network website. Mac & cheese and banana pudding. Both sucked balls. The mac & cheese was like concrete noodles. The banana pudding is more like banana soup. Take the banana pudding recipe for example. Calls for three cups of milk and two tablespoons of corn starch. Then look at Alton Brown's recipe from a recent episode of Good Eats. Two cups of milk and three tablespoons of corn starch. Two TBSP's of corn starch is nowhere near enough to thicken three cups of milk. Even after six hours in the fridge, the 'pudding' is more like soup. Although I find her to be a hot granny, I find myself wondering what exactly she did to merit a television show.
  3. If everyone agreed on everything, the world would be a pretty dull place.
  4. Sh sh sh sh SHIMANO
  5. They're not my type.
  6. I haven't worn crocs in well over a year. http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/mens/footwear/slides/pid1200737-Men-s-UA-Playmaker-Massage-Slide/1200737-061
  7. A better question would be 'How many people catch a verified 5 pounder?'.
  8. I'd try it at least once (the Candwich, not the canned whole chicken).
  9. Any comment I could make would result in the immediate locking of this thread. :-X
  10. I've put a ton of miles on the boat this year, currently on gallon #5 of Quicksilver Premium Plus.
  11. Walmart will usually have the Startron. I've seen it in several of the local stores. Usually with the boating accessories.
  12. Box was almost completely crushed. Luckily it contained well-packed crankbaits that suffered no damage.
  13. frogtog gave me the 7'2 MH model last year when I fished with him. Have been using it for the last year throwing DD22's, SK Series 5, 6 and 6XD, and various other deep cranks. It's a very nice cranking rod.
  14. Got caught with your hand in the cookie jar, did ya?
  15. I run the following mix: 1 oz Stabil Marine per 10 gallons (1 oz. per 5 gallons if I'm not going to be using it for a week or so) 1 oz. Quickleen per 6 gallons 1 oz. of Seafoam per 5 gallons
  16. The Maxxum is a little quieter, a little easier to stow/deploy. The Maxxum has the Maxxum Mount with bow guard (keeps you from ripping the whole thing off the boat when you hit a stump or rock), the Edge doesn't.
  17. It was nice to not have to look at Tommy all night. ;D
  18. Something strange is going on with e21. One major wholesaler has dropped e21 from their catalog.
  19. Glad the d**n thing is over. Didn't watch a second of it. I'd rather watch 24 hours of Lifetime or Oxygen than a single soccer game.
  20. Store the bottles in a ziploc bag.
  21. Fished a club tournament on Boone last night. Launched from the TVA ramp with six boats, fishing 5PM-3AM. Partner had been on some good fish earlier in the week. We started on one of my spots, didn't get a thing. Did take a wave over the stern that washed up to the console. Hit one of partner's spots next, nothing. Decided to find some calmer water until the pleasure boat traffic died down. Started down a row of docks in deep water. Got one short smallie on a jig and partner got bit on a worm. I tossed a jig under a boat and just let it sink. Picked up, there he was. Fat fat fat smallmouth that was almost black. Continued fishing down the dock line, couldn't get anything else. By then the traffic had died down a bit, so we hit an offshore spot that has produced for both of us. Fished there till dark, couldn't get any love. Moved on to another of my spots. It's a rocky bank with scattered docks. Ran into a friend fishing with another club. He asked me if I had gotten anything on the crank yet (I hadn't), then took off. First cast with a crank, get it halfway back to the boat, wham. Big largemouth, figured it was around 3.5. Continued down the bank, couldn't get anything else. Tried a few more lighted docks with no luck. By then, one of my partner's spots was supposed to be getting just right. Got there, made two passes before he got a short on a crank. Then I got a short on a jig. They were there, just weren't in much of a biting mood. He started throwing a worm when he nailed a nice smallie. That's three, need three more for a limit. We stayed there for a little while longer, just couldn't get them to bite. Started heading up the lake to a couple of my morning spots. Decided to swing in and fish one of his places a little earlier than we had planned. He got a short on the worm, then got one that was about 15 1/128th ", but still long enough to keep. Four fish, I figure we've got around 9 lbs. Don't know if it's good enough. We continue up the lake, boats on two of my spots, so I fall back to a wall that I occasionally fish. Nothing. Try a few lighted docks on the way back down the lake with no luck. Have about 30 minutes left, fish around the ramp for a while with no luck. Take out, we're the first to weigh in. 10.83 lbs. with a 4.51 lb. big fish. Not a bad showing. Three of our six boats have zeroed, so things are looking good. Tommy and his partner come in with 8.66 lbs. Last boat weighs in, 4.31 lb. big fish, but only 8.4 lbs. Yep, that's two wins on Boone this week for me and two Big Fish pots. I'm thinking about selling my boat while I'm ahead.
