Jj's Magic Dip
The yellow water tight plano box are perfect for JJ's Majic the bottles will not tip over in the box because they just fit. I also keep a rag in there. This is by far the best way I have come up with and once you seal it shut you will never get any odor or leakage.

Abu Garcia Icast 2013 News...
For someone that hates AG, you sure are in every thread about AG. Why can't you just let it go. We got it, you hate AG. Some of us, like me, have been using AG for over 30 yrs with no problems.

Quantum, Abu Garcia, Daiwa, Or Other Baitcasting Reels??
Go on EBAY and find a GEN 2 REVO STX, I have bought several in the last month for 150.00 brand new. You cannot beat that price in any brand, PERIOD!!!

Take care of it by means of simple maintenance and it will last forever, not sure why everyone on here has problems with AG reels, I fish with a lot of people who own them and we never had issues and I have a lot of them. You have to take what you hear in a forum with a grain of salt. People abuse their stuff and when it breaks and can't get it repaired for free they will bad mouth it and blame the product. Look at some of the photos of members boats, they are all junked up and they will be the ones saying " I never banged it or stepped on it, it just broke" Good quality reels just don't break, not even Shimano. ABU GARCIA FOR LIFE!!!

Revo Premier Prm20- Are You Kidding Me?!?
I don't know what everyone does to their reels, but I have never had a problem with Abu Garcia reels. The only crappie reel I have is a Shimano, just sayin...That break looks to be from extreme force, not just from reeling it. The plastic look is casting, not plastic. I'm a NAVSEA NDT LEVEL III EXAMINER, I specialize in examining metal, not just blowing smoke. Harmon

What Should I Buy And Be Using?
7ft, medium / fast action. You do not need a med/hvy for small ponds. Usually you want to be able to throw light lures, med, is the way to go. Reel is what ever you like, i would suggest ABU GARCIA, but there are a lot of Shimano guys on here that will steer you that route.

Is This A Good Setup
If you like it and it works for you, then it is a good set-up.

Pitching/flipping Rod
7ft is plenty long enough. I don't like anything longer.

Okuma Helios Or Revo Stx?
I have never had a problem with my REVO's, I just bought a REVO gen 3 premier and I like it, but I do like my GEN 2 better. I like the heavier feel of the GEN 2's. If I were you, I would go on EBAY, and get a new GEN 2 STX for 150.00. They have a lot on there for sale and cheap.

Lews Reels
I used one for a few cast while I was in Georgia, my son has the tourney pro. It was real nice and smooth, but I did not catch a fish so I can't make an accurate determination on how good it is with some torque on it.

Abu Garcia New Revo Series
You got it backwards, If I pick up a reel and it grinding than yes, it is crap. Most of the good reels you pick up in a store and turn are smooth, and most of them cast a mile. No one seems to care how it feels with a fish on the end. I don't pick up many new reels that are grinding and noisy, but I only pick up quality reels.

Abu Garcia New Revo Series
Get the REVO STX! Most all reels regardless of brand are smooth and cast a mile these days. It's about how they perform when the fish is on the other end. A lot of people get wrapped up into how a reel feels, then how it truly performs when you have a fish on the end, REVO all the way...

Virginia Beach/hampton Roads Area
I live in Carrollton, I'm stationed here, and just got here. I'm going to try some of these places out, Thanks guys. I'm from Georgia, I was home fishing in our pond 2 1/2 acres and I caught 42 bass in a couple of days. The average was around 1 1/2 lbs, but I did catch a nice 6-7 lb.
