Went to Mashpee Wakebey this afternoon. Didn’t last long. My daughter called me with car problems. Water temp was 68.x. Forgot to add the only highlight was an eagle flying over me with with a fish it its claws.

I have FeelFree Lure 11.5s and power them with 9-ah batteries kept in a waterproof Pelican box. I ran my wiring in the hull with Hobie through-hull grommets and use a Battery Tender quick connect on the battery box. The battery box is Velcro'd in the storage hatch. I also have USB and cigarette plugs flush mounted in the cockpit. I use Lowrance's scupper transducer mount on one kayak and a RAM-Mount arm for my side-scan transducer on the other. Yes. I keep a Diawa Ardito travel rod & small tackle bag in my Tundra’s under seat storage. I don’t use it frequently, but it’s there if the opportunity arises.

I fished LPH on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. Saturday's trip was a first fishing trip for my wife's friend, teaching her how to cast a spinning setup. We couldn't get her a catch, and I managed one white perch on a LV150. I returned Sunday morning after the heavy rain passed and fished with @Saltysmalljaws until noon. Jake picked up a few small fish, including a hornpout, on a drop shot. I was close to the skunk, when late in the trip I dropped a t-rigged Zoom Baby Brush Hog under a moored boat and came up with a healthy 2 1/2 pound SMB. Most of what we marked was deep, 30+ ft. We got the same report from another guy while leaving. Water temps are falling. They were 74.x on Saturday and 69.x on Sunday. Air pressure was 29.9 Saturday afternoon and 29.8 Sunday morning. It was overcast Saturday through late Sunday morning. It was almost dead calm Saturday and 10-12 mph most of Sunday morning. Good luck to everyone getting out there. Fall is upon us. I tossed my waders in the car this morning and drove to Hedges planning on a "one rod and one jerkbait" attack. Stuck with it for the first hour, but dredging up dead grass got to me and I tied on a chartreuse Damiki DC 100, which a 1.1 pound yellow perch liked. I went back to the jerkbait for the last half hour. I saw beaucoup bait fish tight to shore and in the last grass along the shoreline. It was mostly cloudy, almost calm, and the air pressure was 30.

Meh, numbers were consistent, but nothing of any size. So far the highlight was my wife catching her first SMB that came in at 3.62 pounds. I’m not done yet. I fish as long as there’s open water. Congrats to those with new personal bests this year.

I hear ya! I dropped into Hedges yesterday afternoon and caught a long & skinny SMB on the first cast, on a clown V110jr, from shore… OK, I thought, this is gonna be good. . . . Three hours later I left with a total of two SMB and one yellow perch to the kayak. My three catches, combined, might have weighed two pounds. During that time, @Saltysmalljaws texted me and in that text, let me know he and his wife boated roughly 75 fish on one trip over the weekend (for reference, I’ve caught 93 fish this year) with their biggest over five pounds. CONGRATS to Salty, he’s a SMB guru for sure, but talk about taking the wind out of my sail…. Weather at Hedges was near perfect. Almost calm, mostly overcast, and 75.x water temps. Air pressure was 30.3. I’ll be on Cape Cod this weekend, perhaps I can get some of@Saltysmalljaws ‘s mojo! Best of luck to everyone getting out there too!

Yeah, I feel that way frequently, but it was good you got it down by the end of your trip.

Dropped into Sunset Lake for an hour after work this evening. It was misty and almost calm. Threw a whopper plopper, Vision 110, and a 3.5" bluegill flash Swing Impact. My little bluegill flash garnered me a cute little Sunny. That was it. Water temps were 74.x and air pressure was 30.2.

If you're on the South Shore, @Mr. Aquarium and I will give you a lesson. I keep my kayaks ready to go all year, and my Ranger goes out in most weather. This forum and YouTube have tons of blade bait info. At the least, if you have neoprene waders, we can meet at Hedges before it freezes. Smallies there like the blade bait.

@Fishing Rhino and I launched at Quabbin Fishing area 3 this morning at the opening bell. The weather was nearly perfect, with some fog, and little breeze, and air pressure sitting at 30.1. We decided to pack it in shortly after noon, where at that point Tom had a handful of dink SMB and I was eating an egg. I threw a Vision 110 hail mary cast near the launch and came up with my own dink SMB. In attempt to save face, I fished Sunset Lake around dinner time. A cute little bluegill tried eating the same V110 I succeeded with at the Quabbin and I lost a good LMB at the kayak from a T1000 Whopper Plopper 110. Water temps at Sunset was 76.x. We didn’t have electronics at Quabbin.

Fished a private pond in Wesport Thursday afternoon with @Fishing Rhino. We did pretty good with 8-10 LMB and one each white perch, yellow perch, and crappie. Tom got big fish of the day with a 3.02 LMB. I got one LMB and the white perch on a perch colored Rapala Shad Rap Shallow and the rest on misc. soft baits. It was mostly clear and windy, from the south. Air pressure was 29.8. ...I forgot to mention the weeds are starting to die off...

Took a quick trip to Hedges this afternoon. Got three SMB in the kayak and lost two acrobatic jumpers. All I needed today was a clown Vision110jr. They were shallow, near a drop off, off a gentle point. Air pressure was 29.9, winds were STIFF from the south, and water temps hovered around 76.

I own everything from Abu to XXX, in the $200 to $400ish price points. My favorites are my Tatula and Zillion SV's.

I try this, but like others, the last 8 or so wraps look loose and disorganized. I get about 20% of them right. Frustrating as heck, but I keep trying.

Yes. I dropped into Ponkapoag late this afternoon. Four LMB and one yellow perch made it to the kayak, with the biggest LMB weighing 2.33 pounds. Three bass came on a green/red flake Zoom curly tail worm and the rest on a 4.5" bluegill flash Easy Shiner on an underspin. It was funny to see the perch holding onto the Easy Shiner's tail and not hook. Water temps were 77.x - 79.x, air pressure was 29.7, and winds were 5 - 10 mph from the W.
