Roboworm Hook
What is the best hook to use for a straight tail roboworm...or any worm of that size. I sometimes make long casts but most of the time I just pitch them 15 feet or so. I have been using a 1/0 gammy straight worm hook. I noticed i have been missing more than usual.

Weekend Advice
We have our first tournament of the year on Saturday. I attached the current weather hopefully it shows up. I live in Huntington, WV and will be fishing East Lynn Lake. We have had some warm days (50-65) the last couple weeks, but nights have gotten down between 30-40 degrees. Saturday is supposed to be 54 and raining 80% chance with 12mph SW winds. I just wanted to see if I can get some advice or opinions on lure selection. Never been to the lake before, but all the boaters beat the bank. I will be in the back of the boat.

I ended up tying a uni to uni. Thanks for the advice!

Pline Cxx Or Red Label
I ended up exchanging it for the 20lb Red Label. Killed it at the local pond down the road. Could barely see my line because of the snow coming down so hard. I'd say 40 fish altogether. Seems like its a good line but ill have to put it through more than one day of use to see. Thanks for everyone's help!

Rain Protection
So without expensive rain gear, what should I use? Does anybody use a poncho? Lol

Flouro To Flouro
Thanks!

Pline Cxx Or Red Label
Yeah I hate the coils too lol I had read that on a couple reviews with CXX. I do the exact same with braid on my spinning to eliminate all of that. I think I will just exchange it and get the Red Label next time I'm out. Thanks!

Flouro To Flouro
Because I'm broke right now!! I have backing on all of my reels and I've wondered if I'm using the right knot ( uni to uni). I guess I am, but the knot just seems to be a little large.

Flouro To Flouro
Seems to be a hard answer to find. What is the best knot to join?

Pline Cxx Or Red Label
I went to purchase flourocarbon line for my pitching setup today. I was on a budget and i was in a hurry. i picked up this Pline CXX 15lb Moss green (found out the color when I got home I wanted clear)( thought it was Flouro). I'm not real sure if I should just keep this or take it back and get Seagaur Red label. I've never used either one but like I said I'm on a budet and I'm really not sure if copolymer is the right line for this? Thanks in advance!

Basics?
Along with all the information here, there is tons of information on Bassmaster.com, YouTube, and tons of others. You just have to search old and new with all of these. Write down things as you go along (I wish I had). Don't expect to learn this in a couple months either, it takes time. Most importantly stay confident and have fun! Buy you a cheap 7'MH rod and reel combo, grab a pack of Senkos (green pumpkin) and some EWG hooks. I think that's a good start for anyone!

1 Lure You Have No Confidence In...
Swim jig and chatterbait. Plan to fish both exclusively until something bites!

Keitech Impacts
With temps in the 70's today I got to do some fishing at a nearby pond. A couple fish on a SK Trap and the ready came on the 3.8 bluegill flash. I was using an 1/8 oz head and letting it hit bottom then returned with a very slow retrieve. One bait produced probably 12 fish. Use glue so they will last longer. As these are my first swimbaits, I had a very good experience and they did great.

Lessons You've Learned The Hard Way!

Rod To Go With A Revo Gen 3
I have 3 Veritas rods matched with Abu SX's. their cheap, light, and sensitive. I recently bought a 7' M winch series which I haven't got to use it yet, but it's rated up to 3/4oz and should work for what you listed.

Torn Between The Silvermax And The Promax
I bought the promax last year and it has had a cpl small issues (thumb bar sticks) and the drag has messed up a couple of times. Then fixes itself. I would recommend it to someone on a budget, it has caught lots of fish. Just don't try throwing light lures with it.
