how much do bass pros get when they sign withspons
i hear about how much NBA players get for endorsing NIKE, but I never get the specifics about bass pros signing with new companies. Do they get free equipment, tourney entries paid, or just straight money?

What do you think is happening with fishing?
The earth of course does go through natural warming/cooling cycles. It also goes through unnatural cooling/heating cycles. For example a large volcanic eruption or asteroid strike causes a drastic cooling cycle. Massive release of greenhouse gasses causes a drastic warming cycle. I hate not to talk about bass fishing hear, but how can you not believe that global warming is a serious problem worldwide? of course the earth goes through natural heating and cooling cycles, but there is just too much evidence to think what's going on now is just part of a normal cycle. the ten hottest years EVER MEASURED have all occured in the last 14 years. polar bears are drowning because there is a huge lack of ice in the arctic. The flow of ice from glaciers in Greenland has more than doubled over the past decade. i could go further into this, but we will no doubtedly release more greenhouse gases in the future as the population increase and if we don't do anything about it now, bass fishing might be ruined in the futre. pleas watch an inconvenient truth

Best Jon boat mods??
what make and model are ur jons? I've been really thinking about getting one that I could put on top of the car. I went to BPS yesterday and thought the tracker 1232 would be good. do any of you guys have problems with too much weight in the boat? If i get this jon it would be my first boat. I was thinking about getting a trolling motor, depthfinder, and carpet for accessories, but with 2 or 3 people plus the battery that i found to be pretty heavy at BPS yeseterday, it seems like there will be too much weight.

Good December Fishin!
yea i took fishing as a gym class at my university up in the finger lakes this semester if you can believe it, and the black and white tube was the number bait for a lot of us in the class for pike and smallies. i actually caught my 3 lb PB smallie on it at seneca lake. this was my first time trying it down here in MD

Good December Fishin!
Had high 60's air temps today in Maryland outside od DC, so I went to a small lake right down the street and fished from shore. I haven't been bass fishing a full year yet but this was a great day by my standards. I caught 8 bass within 1.5 hours all in the same general area and all on the same black and white tube.

fluoro backlash
I was planning on getting bps xps fluorocarbon for my baitcaster, since i've been reading that everything about fluorocarbon is better than mono except the price. but then I heard that they cause a lot more backalshes than mono. Is this true?

another epic "colors" discussion
just a question about the color red: how far deep in the water do bass start to not be able to see red?

first boat?
I'm a college freshman looking to get my first boat. RIght now I'm thinkin about getting 10-14 ft. jon boat that can fit on top of a station wagon. Then I would get a trolling motor and depth finder for it. Here's the one I'm thinking about: http://www.trackerboats.com/boat/index.cfm?fuseaction=home.gallery&boat=2260. Im thinking about using it whenever I'm at home, and since I can't take my parent's car up to college in the finger lakes region, I'm thinking about bringing it up there and using a friends car to take it to local waters there. What do you guys think? Any suggestions for a different boat?

they keep missin my frog
THanks man. Ha ha. It would bee impossible to get a senko or anything other than a frog where i was fishing and gettin misses because the lilly pads are reallly thick.

they keep missin my frog
I just starting using a weedless frog and i've caught three nice ones on it reeling it across lilly pads. But i fell like i should have caught 20 on it. So many times i'll see a bass come from under the lilly pads and miss the frog. A few times i think they take it (when i can't see the frog anymore), but i can't set the hook. Does anyone else have these problems? Any suggestions that could help me out?

what should i have done
I think i live in the same area as you in MD. What lake was this?

Catch 'em there...Put 'em here
If you didn't already know, I'm new to fishing, and I've been searching the internet the past few weeks learning as much as I can. I often come across articles and pages about "how to stock/manage your pond." So I was just thinking about the two ponds(2 acres and 5 acres) that I are just a short walk from my house. I almost never see anybody fishing these ponds. I had an idea that I would fish a large body of water like the potomac river, since i live near DC, catch bass, bluegill and other species and release them into the two ponds i'm talkin about. Thoughts......? Suggestions....? Good idea or bad idea...?
