I don't have much advice on this one but i remember one time when i saw bluegills trying to bit my mono line

I remember seeing kelly jordan coloring his line with a black marker at the bassmaster elite series potomac river event this summer. Anyone why he was doing this? on tv they just showed a short clip of him doing it for a second while talking about how he flipps grass.

I tried bass insider for the thirty day trial, and it's definitely not worth the extra money. I really got it because I wanted it to see elite series video that i missed on tv. but earlier in the summer it took them SEVERAL WEEKS to add elite series video that had already aired. Also you can only watch the videos on a tiny screen (can't expand it). I really think they should have way more video tips too, and they're all old and they rarely add new ones. I also wanted insider because i wanted to see 2006 elites series video, which they dont. They do actually have some 2006 video, but they are all short clips. THe 2006 kentucky lake one has a few 20 second clips. one is of KVD telling kevin worth to talk some smack. some people might want to see this but why not just have the entire episode available?!?! Also, they only have short clips of only some of the 2006 elite series... oneida, kentucky lake, sam rayburn etc... but the only one that I really wanted to see was the Potomac River, and they have no clips of that. There's a lot of little annoying stuff that makes me mad about the free bassmaster website too. but i'm just going to mention one. you can view this years hooked up videos, which I like. they've got nine videos available to watch right now. but i really wanted to see the potomac one cuz i missed it. so after they add the videos in order after each tournament, i'm expecting them to add the potomac river one. but of course for some unkown reason, they don't add that hooked up video but add the bassmaster legends one soon after that tournament iis finished. anyone else have little annoying issues with bassmaster that seem like they can be easily fixed by BASS?

ok so i have to cut the negative TM wire, but don't i need those metal hook things that are already on the end of the trolling motor wires to connect the wire to the battery. and i'm assuming i need electrical tape to connect the switch and TM wires?

I bought this foot switch for hand-controlled trolling motors from bass pro shops, and i need help installing it. i'm not really sure how to hook it up. i have a minn kota endura 30 lb thrust. The directions that came with the foot switch are pretty vague: 1. Cut trolling motor negative 2. Hook switch leads to negative as shown 3. turn trolling motor to on 4. activate switch Can you guys help me out with what to do with this? i want to make sure i know what im doin before i cut anything on my TM. half the time my buzzbaits come through the water slanted. anyone else have this problem? how can i fix it?

You can kinda see the front of the boat in this pick. it has a larger flatter surface than the back. maybe it could go there?

It's just a pain to have to sit down every 5 seconds and use the transom mount trolling motor to move, especially when it's windy. Do you think I could use a foot control trolling motor on this? I would have to be able to take it on and off since i put my boat on top of the car.

Those are some great fish. Me and my friend from VA might be hitting up some of the local waters in no. va. does occaquan have rental boats?

I want to catch a 21+ inch bass. What lure(s) should i throw. i'm planning on hitting up a local lake where i've caught my two biggest bass. It's 10 feet at its deepest, and it has a lot of lilly pads, and some grass. No shad in the lake but I think they feed a lot on sunfish there so i was thinking a bluegill swimbait, but i can't spend $20 on the mattlures one. any suggestions?

hey guys! i'm from maryland, but i'm at shoals marine laboratory off of portsmouth right now, and i'll have a free couple of days next weekend to go to the mainland. where are some close bassing spots for large or smallmouths from shore, and is there anywhere close where i can rent a boat. also, i have absolutely no fishing equipment with me so where around portsmouth can i pick up a cheap rod and reel and a few lures?

I caught one on a chart/white one on the potomac river the first time i used it. I had three hookups within 40 minutes but only landed one. i was just pulling it in with my rod then letting it fall while i reel in the slack. i mostly pull with the rod instead of just reeling it in just so i can feel it if it gets caught on weeds

Kevin Vandam bluegill spinnerbait. Most guys will use chart or white or chart/white, but the bluegill pattern of this spinnerbait looks great in the water and should work well in places with a lot of bluegill. i used it last friday and caught 8 bass and one pickerel, the most i've ever caught on a spinnerbait. i was using the 3/16 ounce version and it casts great on my baitcaster.

Do you guys think i can put a deck on this kayak i'm fishing in? it's real sturdy and i always stand when i fish in it, but i think it will be easier fishing if i'm a little higher up. im thinking about covering all or half of the kayak with a deck and leaving about 3 inches of lip from the deck to the top. i also wanna puts two seats in it that are high up like the kind on bass boats, but i have to put the kayak on top of the car so i would have to take them on and off the kayak. Do you guys have any suggestions for the seats? Here's a pic:

MDangler14, I got there about 6:30 AM, and caught 3 more nice ones, but had a bunch of misses on the frog. they're so fun to use but all the missed hookups get annoying sometimes. There were a few other small boats out there that were catchin em pretty good. i even saw two guys in a small boat almost land a GIANT pickerel. All i saw was its head but it looked like the head of a really huge pike.

I caught my biggest bass ever on a yellow bronzeye frog around some lilly pads. How much do you think it ways? I wish I had some better pics but I wanted to get it back in the water quick after it took mea a while to get the frog out of its throat.
