wow i guess i'll stay away from this stuff. I wonder if the vicious pro staff actually uses it.

vicious fluorocarbon
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the least expensive fluoro out there, and I'm considering buying some. But does the low price mean low quality? How has this line been for those that have used it?

goby baits
what do yall think are the best goby baits? I saw the strike king gobygone on hook n look. they were catching fish on it, but it's action didn't look to great under water.

1000 islands
I've got a college tx up there in july, and I'm not sure how to attack this body of water. If you guys don't mind, what are some of the community holes up there and what are some popular baits, techniques? I know goby's are real thick up there

potomac report
soccplayer, do you mind telling me where you fished yesterday morning, if it was mt. vernon or not and what time? I just want to compare our results with yours if we fished the same general area. I fished the flw college tx yesterday and mt. vernon was our first stop from 7-9 am. we caught a 4 small keepers (chatterbait, frog, t-rig) off the outside edge and left. I know that there are some big fish in there.

Rage Tailin'
FYI, there was a post in the northeast section where a guy posted a pic of a big fish and colored in the backround to keep his honeyhole secret. Another BR member said he had a program that could undo photoshop, and he posted the same pic but with the backround from the orignal pic. so, you're secret bait may not be safe.

which rod from tacklewarehouse
I just won some tournament money, and I want to get a new quality baitcast rod. All of my rods cost about $30, so I want to upgrade to the $50-$80 range. I'm am going to buy it from tacklewarhouse since I get a nice discount (college team) and shipping will be free. Would anyone recomend the daiwa tierra rods? I'm leaning towards one of those.

Booyah Bug Jig Question
I keep it on. These were the first jigs i caught fish on. just caught a nice potomac river bass yesterday on the black and blue with a paca chunk. I think they made it that way to give it a "finesse" look. For some reason tackle companies do that to their finesse jigs

TM batteries
So the + terminal on my deep cycle battery pretty much melted and it took me a while to detach my TM from it because it was stuck. I have no idea how it happened while I was fishing but I need to get a new battery. After looking at the BPS brand batteries online, I didn't realize how expensive they were. So I'm trying to get the cheapest possible that will do the job. What would you guys recommend for a good 12 Volt? Does it have to be deep cycle for it to run well for the motor? Will a cheaper marine battery from the local auto store suffice, or should I got to BPS?

how to fix baitcaster
My daiwa megaforce has never worked properly. It's useable but the magnetic breaks do not work at all. I see no difference in using the 10 setting compared to the off setting, and often times turning the reel handle doesn't engage the spool, so I have to push the thumbar up in order to start reeling. how do I fix this?

braided line knot
It might be that I'm using spiderwire EZ braid instead of the quality stuff like powerpro
-
braided line knot
my palomar knot has been slipping off my braid which I'm pretty new to using. I lost a bronzeye and red eye shad because the knot slipped as cast, and this almost never happens with mono. what knot do yall use for braid?

piscataway creek (potomac river)
Has anyone fished the upper portions of this creek (past the marina). I knew it was real shallow up there, and just went in a kayak yesterday. I was up there during the last 2 hours of outgoing tide and much of it was 1-3 ft deep. I went far enough to reach where the creek was about as wide as 3 lengths of my kayak, and the deepest was 7 ft. on my depthfinder in the middle. I just want to know if any of you that have bass boats have been up there. The reason I ask is that I have a college tournament where the boats (each are owned by a stren series pro) are provided. The pro rides along with us, but we decide where to go. Do you think that it would be safe to get in and out of there on a high tide. I wouldn't be surprised if our pro didn't let take his boat up there.
