  1. Owner ST36 work for me.
  2. Sheesh. There's some questionable stuff in this thread. However, I think I can get close to 75 yards with a compact 3/4 oz lipless and a tailwind. I was hitting the backing on my Conquest while casting a Gunfish last week but I don't think there's more than 60-65 yards of braid on there. Might be time to go get thrown off the high school football field.
  3. I don't find CXX to be terribly unmanageable, but I'm used to straight fluoro so perhaps you could say that I'm just used to poorly behaving lines. Hybrid and CXX are both fine. Pay attention to diameter rather than pound test. Both lines run thick and are underrated.
  4. It's something like the inductor both extends and rotates to apply braking, which makes for more dynamic braking? Someone help me out on this.
  5. Certainly 13 Met if they are the same price, however the ss sv should be able to be had for less.
  6. It's good. The SV spool is the real deal. Anything specific about the reel that you would like to know?
  7. Can't argue with $4.50 Arashis. I wish they'd carry the wakes in store.
  8. I have used the 10 lb and the 15 lb. I think it's alright. It's similar to Hybrid with maybe a little more stretch and it seems to sink faster. Knots hold well and the feel is not terrible. I got a couple spools from Dick's last year for like $3/per, so same boat.
  9. You partially quoted my posts to remove context, reffered to something I suggested as "Kook-Aid", and you've taken something that I addressed to someone else personally and obsessed on it. Now you insult me. Do you still wonder why I do not wish to engage in discourse with you?
  10. Yeah man, pretty much. Plus, I had a paper to write last night. I could spend today finding empirical evidence to support a brewing debate in the off topic section of a fishing forum... or I could just go fishing.
  11. This is like the third time you've quoted my same post. Let it go mate.
  12. I hope you find it interesting, even if you don't agree with it.
  13. Like I said, forum rules. So why don't we agree to disagree and leave it there?
  14. Well, heck, no one was in those days. Related for everyone, there's a super interesting Ted Talk by Dr. Steven Pinker called The Surprising Decline of Violence. It'll make you feel a lot better about modern society.
  15. Good example of bad history here. I'd go deeper, but I love and adhere to the forum rules. I can tell you to brush up on your history, maybe take a nice Middle Eastern History course at the local college. Knowledge is power!
  16. I'm under attack by the Kayak Monkey. Next week I'm demoing the 2015 Hobie Mirage Outback and a few different WS Rides. You guys were right. This monkey's no joke.
  17. What are you looking to replace?
  18. I'm preoccupied watching "professional" video games and listening to K-pop. Sue me.
  19. Yep. Nail on the head. There are some nice hardbait scores to be had in the Flea Market here from time to time.
  20. The I'ze spools are going to be hard to come by as well, unfortunately. It's possible that there will be an SV spool introduced for the Zillion frame, which would be a sweet addition assuming that it's not bright orange. I'd look at Zillion Type R drag stars. They're good lookin' and only about $20.
  21. The 103 is "designed" for pitching and has Magforce V. I would get the 100 for casting because I like Magforce Z. I'm sure you'd be fine with the 103 but it is "wilder" and there are better reels for the job. The X factor with the Steez frame is that you have a lot of spool options, including the popular RCS 1016. I also might wait for Daiwa's new Steez SV that should be coming at I-Cast.
  22. I have a 7' M Veracity. It's quite alright with 5" Senko-style baits and Texas rigs including the weights you stated. I would certainly agree with your idea of dropping down to 12 or even 10 lb. line, depending on the situation. A MH Abu Garcia will likely be too much rod for the lighter weights.
  23. $15 for three 1/2 oz Rat-L-Traps, where I need to replace the hooks and frown when the paint comes off after a few fish. $16.50 for three 1/2 oz Red Eye Shads, which I need to test and tune and retest. Good thing it has that seductive shimmy on the fall for when I get frustrated and throw them in the lake. Yeah. Bargains, mate.
