Flurocarbon Tired Of Paying For It
Probably not.

Which Berkley Soft Plastic
Don't buy green pumpkin Power Worms, and whatever you do, don't dip the tails in chartreuse JJ's Magic. Think of the children.

Ever Take Your Dog Fishing?
Baxter is good. Dixie puts everything in her mouth and leash-wraps my girlfriend's legs like she's an AT-AT.

Help... Any Good? Dobbins Ss663C / Ss703C Rods
$75 for the 703 is a nice deal.

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
Throw me in on being mostly done buying tackle. I want to get a Perfect Pitch before the pads come in and maybe another RH reel. Other than that, it's a few Siebert jigs and whatever the Pikes steal until Fall. Of course, there's the nightmare scenario where the doctor tells me to stop fishing with my right hand and I have to unload and replace the lefties. That will be ugly.

New Reel $150-$250 Range
Gonna be closer to $300 by the time shipping and Paypal's currency conversion is factored in, not to mention the chance at getting hit with a customs fee. Over budget! The JDM bargains these days are the Alphas SV for just over $200 shipped and the Scorpion 1000/1001 XT listed for $155 as of today from Japan Lure Shop. Actually, both of those would throw small cranks nicely. I don't know how well the Curado I would throw 1/4 oz cranks, as it is my understanding that the spool is not at its best when throwing under 3/8 oz.

If we're gonna switch to RH reels, we're gonna do so in style.

Use Line Conditioner?
Always on anything not-braid. I don't know if it would help but braid seems limp and manageable without it.

This is the first year that I'm not flipping tables after watching the Lions pick.

Rod Recommendation: 7'1-7'3 Rod To Replace Swimbait Rod...
MH *** Green would probably work. I have the M and it's beefy as is. I also have the Okuma Scott Martin TCS 7'3" Heavy and it handles a 7" Slammer well. The Daiwa Tatula frog rod should also be included in your search if you can swing the 7'4" length.

Fuego Parts Swap
Yep, that was mine. 5fishlimit purchased it and I believe he likes the Tat-R star on it, though I could be wrong. It certainly fit but personally I like gunmetal stars like the PX-R or Zillion-R. Tims, 100M spool is your best option if you can find one. You may still be able to find an I'ze Factory Zillion Longcast PE spool (bass.jp had them recently), but they're out of stock most places. You probably won't come across a Zillion J-Dream spool, but if you find anyone getting rid of their Megabass IP spool you should ****** it up as it's similar to/the same as the J-Dream spool. I actually really like the 100mm handles that TW and a few other places sell. The big EVA knobs are pretty comfortable and it's priced well at $50. A Hawgtech handle is a good option as well.

I need to try and switch to right handed reels, so there's an Alphas 105SH on the way from Japan Angler. Depending on what the specialist says about my wrist, I may have to sell all my lefties.

Dobyns Savvy Or Phenix Maxim Spinning...go.
The Savvy is a great $100 rod. The problem is that it costs $180.
-
Swim Jig
Nah, 1/4 oz is good for slow and high in the water column. That's why it is important to have a variety of swim jig weights.

Dobyns Savvy Or Phenix Maxim Spinning...go.
I would also consider the Tatula, E6X, and Zodias rods if you have not already.

Sammy And Popmax Questions
I am 99% sure there's no split ring on the Pop Max, but I can't confirm right now. No split ring on the Sammy either.

Lake St. Clair Fishing Report 2015
Definitely stop in at Sportsman's Direct if you're in the area. They've got a lot of nice tackle.

New Reel Services
Boca bearings are good but not necessary. The ceramic hybrids are loud (which I like). Normally you don't need to clean new reels unless there is a problem. Flushing the stock bearings is all you need to do. I'd also suggest Carbontex drag washers because they are inexpensive but great.

Anyone Watch Wicked Tuna?
Yeah, it's a fun show. I think they play up the drama a lot, but it's still likable.

Zeko "fishing" Shoes
Maybe I'm getting old, but I don't think they look bad.

Checkers Or Rally's?
Checkers/Rallys used to be pretty good but the food is just way too greasy now. When the chicken fingers bleed through a cardboard box, you have a problem. I only really go to Tim Hortons for fast food. Om nom nom hot kettle chips. Everything else around here is just kinda gross. We also don't have Waffle House or Krystal's, which is a bummer. We do have Five Guys though. I go there when I want to consume 2,500 calories and be hungry afterwards.

Any Lawyers/ Attorneys
Public speaking is good. Effective communication is highly underrated. If your high school has a forensics or debate team (or club), I'd also recommend getting involved in those.

My Knot Failed?
Don't tie the clinch on braid. She'll slip.

Do You Like Fluorocarbon Line?
I like it. I get by with straight 10 lb Red Label and a simple San Diego Jam knot.
