  1. Six of one, half-dozen of the other. The knobs on the new Team Lite are sweet, though. If Lews would sell me those handles, I'd put them on my Daiwas immediately.
  2. Bit of a leap. Many of us are Daiwa worshippers. You called modern rods and reels garbage. People disagreed. I'm not sure what the problem is.
  3. Dobyns 706CB goes up to 1.5 oz and is only 7' long, so that could be a start. Loomis has the 847 CBR in the E6X line that is rated up to 1 3/8 oz as well. There's always the MB X4 Destruction, which I've read about people deep cranking with. If you really need to throw 2 oz. and stay under 7'6", I'd be looking at the Destruction if budget allows.
  4. Slippery slope with those Jackall rods; if you give a mouse an Adrena, then he's going to want a Glorious, and so on. I think the one-year warranty scared a lot of people at the $400 price point.
  5. The one near Detroit is very good. They have a variety of baits and a lot of high end rods and reels.
  6. Don't forget the wire!
  7. Do you have a Buff or sun gloves? How are you on tackle boxes? Need a few 3700's?
  8. You could try a Met and a Conquest. Below that I would just buy more OG Zillions.
  9. Try a Duo lipless. They are excellent.
  10. Let's keep it civil, gentlemen. Winter's almost over.
  11. The punch head comes through weeds like a dream. The swim head would be my second choice for grass.
  12. I wonder what she is going to cost.
  13. I'm holding out for Volkeys.
  14. Instagram is super good for saving memory on your phone. I don't have one but my girlfriend has one for the dogs.
  15. I'll probably hit St Clair a few times if conditions are favorable. Might find a pike or two.
  16. Remove a shim from under the spool.
  17. That reel will be fine with 10 lb braid on it. It is on the small side but it will work. Parabolic is fine for spinnerbaits.
  18. Yeah, I would treat yourself a bit and get a nicer rod (if budget allows). St. Croix's lower end spinning rods are versatile and they perform nicely. I'd be looking at a 7' M power in the Triumph or Premier line. I use ML power myself but it's not my all-rounder.
  19. That was my requirement when I bought a vehicle last year. I ended up with a 2012 RAV4 and I like it. Roof rack, room for one-piece 8' rods, and it's a fairly smooth ride for how big it is. It would probably tow something too.
  20. That's my frog rod. I'd recommend checking out the *** Green MH. It's maybe a half power heavier and comes in 7'2 or 7'7.
  21. 50 lb. Power Pro and A-jay's revolver.
  22. Whatever you do, don't put a Keitech on the back of that Bluegill Flash.
  23. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7OVmLLAvhc Almost two hours of Tom. Enjoy!
