  1. Indeed. Trimming jig skirts improves trailer action in my experience.
  2. The Baby craws are more durable if you'd consider a smaller trailer.
  3. Larger diameter braid has better shock strength. I'd be worried about frogging with 20 lb or less in pads with a H or XH rod and a 3/4 oz ish frog.
  4. The Curado I costs $180. There is room for a $225 reel in the lineup. I don't think the Ci4+ has really taken off, especially with the Curado I around now.
  5. I'm in for Mystery Siebertbox.
  6. Jigs and trailers or just jigs?
  7. Maybe there's an $220ish aluminum Chronarch coming at some point and it's going to be green.
  8. If you're trying to embed the photo in a post, an easy workaround is to use a hosting site like Imgur and use BBC code. Imgur's mobile app is pretty good. It's certainly extra effort but it does get the pictures on the website.
  9. I fear the Japanese Domestic Monkey.
  10. I'm going to politely 'jack this thread so we don't have two Zillion rod threads on the page. Does anyone have experience with the 7'4" XHF Swimbait rod compared to the 7' XHF not-Swimbait rod? I was looking at the 7'4" for Punkers and Mattlures but the 7' would fit in my car sooo much better. Also a bonus if I could frog with it.
  11. Yeah buddy.
  12. Go used; buy a Curado/Chronarch 50E from a reputable seller and enjoy. The size 50 Shimano reels are delightful. You'll also have plenty of money left over for some "essential" upgrades like Carbontex drag washers and a Hawgtech handle. Must buy new? Flip a coin. Heads Daiwa Tatula Type R, tails Shimano Curado I. Then buy some nice cork knobs for the Tatula or handle bearings for the Curado I.
  13. I dunno. I'm still very happy with the CH51E. I don't know how much there is to improve that cannot already be done using aftermarket parts.
  14. Do the rods come with a complimentary set of green contacts? Please say yes.
  15. You should try braid with topwater walking baits. The hooksets are excellent at long range.
  16. Braid's good for fishing grass, weeds, pads, etc. It also behaves very well on spinning reels. If visibility is ever an issue, attach a 3' fluorocarbon leader. Boom. Versatile.
  17. I haven't, but I probably wouldn't pick it over the ***. I handled the new HMG's and put reels on them at Bass Pro but I was not impressed. They felt heavy and I didn't care for the all-TAC handle. If you're going with 1/2 oz lures, you might want the MH ***.
  18. You're certainly right. There's always room for improvement.
  19. I can't say, as I have never used a Lamiglas. However I can say that I have an *** Black and I am very happy with it, especially considering the reasonable price. If $87 is your hard limit, I don't think you can do better from TW.
  20. A 7'1" M *** Black would be $85 during the 4th of July sale. The 7'3" would be like 9 bucks more I think.
