  1. I like my Galaxy. Also get a good Otterbox case. Well worth it if you are a phone dropper.
  2. If your Bass Pro is local they will exchange you a brand new one.

Siebert bullet or tournament swim jigs. Alimony, 24/7, blue bug, junebug.
  4. 200 seems to cast a 1/2 oz. Frog a little better for me. Maybe ten or fifteen feet further. The 50 can go very light with the right rod. Nice weightless plastics reel without breaking the bank. Pitches nicely, too.
  5. Well there were other factors besides the cannon issue. For instance, the F-105 Thunderbolt was designed to deliver a tactical nuclear weapon but carried out conventional duties during Rolling Thunder. The maneuverable MiGs that the NVA flew were not only very good aircraft in their own right but especially effective against slow, clunky American fighter-bombers. Combine that with the Vietnamese tendency to hit and run rather than dogfight and it's no wonder that the U.S. bombing effort wasn't effective (paraphrasing here, there were lots of reasons). Also the F-4 was more of an anti-SAM strike aircraft. It wasn't designed to dogfight, which I suppose explains the lack of cannon. You certainly know your stuff. High five!
  6. Good deals come up from time to time in the Flea Market on this site. It's not uncommon to see nearly full bags of plastics for ~$2/bag.
  7. I think that was a fair statement to make in 1911. Planes and bombs in those days were lousy. It wasn't until WWII that air power and strategic bombing made any significant impact on warfare.
  8. Get a program for your computer called F.lux, especially if you're on your computer after dark. It's amazing. You will be shocked at how bright your screen is and how it's keeping you from sleeping.
  9. Mend It. Smells terrible but saves plastics.
  10. I don't see a problem.
  11. I hope they're not $25 a pop. My girlfriend is going to want sixteen of those.
  12. Good stuff. Pretty soon we're going to have to call you Medium-size Bill!
  13. Google is supposed to have a fail-safe on their image searches for exactly that reason. However I am not brave enough to test it myself, so I will instead offer you pity and a cool washcloth to put over your eyes.
  14. I've switched over to twistlock hooks for almost everything, fluke-style baits included. I'm currently using Owner Twistlock Lights and while they are a little pricey, they do an amazing job at not destroying your baits. The life expectancy of my Caffeine Shads has increased so, so much.
  15. You should try a 5- turn Uni. Similar to the clinch but very braid friendly.
  16. Gunfish and Sammies are certainly worth the ~$16 tag.
  17. No wire tie, no sale!
  18. The wire tie option is the best 25 cents you will ever spend.
  19. Siebert Outdoors makes nice tungsten weights.
  20. I ordered a chartreuse head with a chartreuse/white skirt for murky water. For clear water, I would consider the Fogy color with a white head or a bluegill with a watermelon head.
  21. I would happily tell you if I'd been able to purchase a lefty Curado I at any point between February and now. So if you like to reel Southpaw, Chronarch E.
  22. If you're not mechanically inclined, don't disassemble your fishing reel. Source: I am not mechanically inclined.
  23. Savvy rods are "fine" sensitivity-wise but I would advise against purchasing one because the cork is cheap and the handle starts to look like hell very quickly.
  24. Did you get any fun head/skirt combinations? I always get a few tried and true colors and then one or two "experiments". Smoked Jelly swim jig + PBJ Rage Bug? We'll see what the bass think!
  25. A rep sample or used 6'8" MF Shimano Cumara Jig and Worm rod should run you $150 or a little more. I got mine off the 'Bay for $170 shipped last summer. I use mine for all of the techniques you have listed plus small Senkos and finesse jigs.
