  1. I've seen light colored gills. I got both in different rof Dark crappie would have been nice if it was spotted like black crappie
  2. Got 2!
  3. Website is overloaded
  4. I placed an order and one of the employees said the parts were for repairs by daiwa and I would need to mail my reel. Then another employee who I was told to talk to by a daiwa user who ordered the part that I was ordering, acted like they have never sold parts even though he personally sold it to the above mentioned daiwa user. He was asking me how I got my info and if any other Japanese company sold parts.
  5. Anyone order parts from plat.co.jp? I read where many people buy replacement parts from them but when I put in an order they have given me the run around saying they can't export and that I need to ship my reel to them.
  6. I have boca and it pops out daiwa pins well. However I've bent two lews pins! Not sure why I have trouble with Lews but I'm switching to hedgehog as I've lost confidence in Boca pliers.
  7. Challenge accepted

I have triple grips gammys and owner. Haven't used the last two much but I'm keeping an open mind. I don't imagine much of a difference. If someone showed me penetration data I may be swayed to use one brand.
  9. Team daiwa t are known for being faster than their label.
  10. Just took the t3 out to the backyard....3/8oz jig was pitched roughly 25 yards smoothly. Blows my tatulas out of water in both smoothness and distance. Thanks guys!!!
  11. I'm not too worried about the article as I remember most of it. But if others are interested I can email him.
  12. Hlc? Not interested. Just another daiwa variant.
  13. I read an article from either *** or *** about different types of sunline fluoro and what they are used for. It was a recent article but I can't seem to find it again even with google. Can anyone help?
  14. I'm using a binder now and don't like it. It's organized but difficult to use. I want one of those zerust boxes
  15. Not broken but I left a team daiwa t on the deck and as we were leaving...Bump! Flew right off and I was completely unaware.
  16. I've hit my girlfriend a few times setting the hook... I usually don't land fish and spend more time getting to the spot than fishing. A common theme is scaling steep banks and wading through chest high crocodile water (no not alligator) to get to that perfect spot...then I awake without making a cast.
  17. Recent pickups 741 team daiwa s frog rod 2500 daiwa ballistic sh Daiwa t3 1016 Brown craw roumba Danielson split ring pliers And 15lbs smackdown braid
  18. While the t3 mx 8.1 is super cool... I scored an eBay deal for the 7.1 t3 1016 for $160 brand new. If I got an mx I'd want to get the 1016 spool so total cost would be approaching 300. I think I came out alright. Thanks for the help everyone!!! P.s. earlier today I put my tdz 103h (6.2oz) on my *** and it balanced almost perfect. A pixy or alpha would have made it tip heavy and the t3 1016 should balance perfectly.
  19. I'm not sure if some people realize that higher ratings are used on high tech equipment like hospital laboratory analyzers and such that have a tiny tolerance for error. Fishing reels, even high end, are nowhere near as precise. That said, I still go with abec 7 on occasion.
  20. That's what I'm looking at now and the 8 to 1 ratio is amazing. Hard to find though! I'd probably bump my budget for it. I read on TT about a tatula sv coming out.
  21. I'd probably throw the hudd at him after he said persnickety.
  22. 200 budget give or take. Over 200 with super tuning. Lowest I'd go is 3/8oz maybe slightly less for a 1/4oz+soft plastic. Highest is 1/2 oz maybe 3/4. Fishing timber and brush piles and while I have a punching set up I may be tempted to toss into some water shield which isn't as thick as a grass mat.
  23. Also looking at daiwa t3 1016. Still on light side but better drag and can engage clutch with the hood system. Will be pushing budget. The 8 to 1 ballistic is interesting but not as refined. I know I'm throwing a lot out there, but I've got a few months to get my ducks in order.
