Using Custom Reels?
If I had the money I'd display it on a shelf But right now I wouldn't bother buying a reel I was afraid to use. Last thing I need to worry about while fishing is the d**n finish on my reel....

Ever Run Into This Type?
People carry guns on their boat. ..my dad included. A thread about docks not long ago mentioned a dock owner killing a boater. If you want to throw objects at people don't be surprised if it returns in spades.

Bank Guys, Are You Using A Bag, Box Or Backpack?
Bag...Although I hate it. Abu garcia veritas bag. 4 3700s. Wears on your shoulders after a while. It can also throw your balance off. Nice for taking onto bass boat though. Want a backpack but they are expensive...the backpack I own is too worn out to use.

Daiwa Frog Rod
Daiwa has a rod over multiple models that is rated for 1/2oz to 2 oz with fast taper and typically heavy power usually 7'4". I'm looking at old model zillion that is X heavy but essentially same rod. Question is, for those who have the frog rods...how do you like them? My current punch rod is a h 13 *** xf and it feels underpowered and too fast for punching. I also want a rod I can toss small hard swimbait like shellcracker g2. The fast taper seems more forgiving for trebles. I've been throwing the g2 on my h *** and while it is rated for 1.5oz lures it really is topped out and I find it difficult to cast.

Jerkbait/topwater Baitcast Rod?
6'6" medium power fast action. Like the length for walking the dog and popping slack without slapping the water. Moderate action would be too wimpy when trying to work the slack.

Dig In Shallow Anchors
Grainger supply company has 10 foot fiberglass poles that are 3/4 and are exact same as digin and stick it poles but with a sharp tip. I can either shave it into a tip and drill a screw into the end. It's like 34 dollars though. Then find something to bolt onto boat that will hold it like the bracket of a humminbird fishin buddy. The bmx grip is a good idea though.

Daiwa Lexa
I've already got a reel lined up on ebay (and no rod!) A brand new zillion is tempting though

Advice For This Morning
I slow rolled a swimjig across current from a creek dumping in water. Caught 4. Also broke off on a big cat at another location.

Advice For This Morning
Instead of hunting I'm going fishing. Small shallow ponds with lilys and mil foil and trees. Couple weeks ago lakes froze slightly but recent 50 temps and rain for three days thawed them. I've read where warm stretches of rain helps winter fishing. Any lure suggestions?

Steez Tip
I have a stz671mhfba that needs a new tip and I was wondering if anyone knew which exact tip they use? There are a couple titanium ones on mud hole but I'm not sure which to get.
