  1. Pliers, sheath, AND box? Cash in man.
  2. It is a steez and I realized they have lifetime warranty and have read where people in similar situations have got brand new rod. I'd at least ask them to quote me for a repair if the warranty doesn't apply. The previous owner replaced tip with a large guide you'd find on a catfish pole...looks hideous. Everything else is almost perfect.
  3. I got it for my okuma tcs and it works well. No issues
  4. I bought a great rod on ebay recently but it has a couple poorly repaired eyelets. Was hoping to flip for profit but will probably now keep it for my own enjoyment. Question is, should I fix it myself (done it once before) or ship it out and have a professional do it?
  5. Frog miss? Drop a dbomb. Looks like an injured frog fluttering down...BAM!
  6. I'd flip those for a new rod and reel.

I bought a zerust 3700 box and I like it. I have 4 other standard boxes and am noticing rust developing even with anti rust tabs in them. Should I change over to all zerust boxes?
  8. Tatula isn't best ergonomically. Fits me fine, but others have had issues
  9. I like both brands a lot and they both bring good stuff to the table. Broke my teeth with BC with lews. Moved on to Daiwa due to reputation and innovation. I liked my Lexa and love my tatulas. Got my dad into using lews and I have as much confidence in them as daiwa. Difference on lower end is that lews shed weight. My tatulas are 8oz but I've never been fatigued or bothered by it. I'd suggest going with the best deal and read reviews and go with the one you think is better. Fwiw, I cannot get emails replied from daiwa, lews probably has better support.
  10. Oh, I'm aware. Still looks like a modern reel. I'm very excited to try it out and upgrade it.
  11. Type rs on ebay are doing 200+ Not many tdz to choose from, especially right handed. None on Craigslist either. I keep my tatulas in reel covers...tdz will certainly be going in one. Handle knobs are a bit worn but was planning on putting reel grips on if not swapping out handle completely.
  12. I've seen wind not matter and I've seen wind spook deer down wind or at least put them on high alert. Do what you can to eliminate scent but don't let wind ruin a hunt. Some of my best days were when the wind was swirling. Some days bucks are more worried about esterus in the air than a wiff of armpit stinch
  13. Just got a used tdz103h for $150. Considered holding off and spending 100 for a tatula 100h. Looks in pretty good condition and has upgraded drag. I've never seen or used one before. Good purchase?
  14. Where did I ever say I never threw one or that I'm pointing fingers at people and trying to start a flame war? Yall need to take a step back and reassess your own contributions to this thread. A rigs can and do entangle bass. Yes you drew a strike. How often do trebles from a jerk bait get tangled in a bass's tail and you haul him in sideways without a fight? Outside of some dinks, that never happens to me. I still use a rigs and find them interesting...but there are questions surrounding it.
  15. So it doesn't happen?
  16. Anyone ever order one? Would make a great present for my dad. Not sure how useful they are.
  17. I've watched numerous shows, tournaments, and youtube videos of a rigs. A large number of bass brought in are snagged from trying to bust the bait ball. Simply not sporting or ethical.
  18. This, didn't have time to type it out
  19. I don't plan on knocking cans out of the air while on the lake. Doesn't quite translate to softly landing a crankbait over a laydown.
  20. It's not a rumor
  21. Not what you might think from title... Does anyone ever buy used reels, fix them up and resell (flip) them?
  22. I'll have my African friend throw some chicken bones tomorrow and I'll get back to yall.
  23. Not neccessary. Sometimes you may want to tone down bright colors though depending on water clarity. A baked firetiger for instance
