My favorite childhood lure. Slayed smallmouth on it. I learned quickly to throw it at logs and try to get it snagged

I spooked one right off the shoreline in some nasty stuff. Sticks, pot leaves, beer bottles etc...could have been a bullfrog but the water swirled. No other hits.

All you need is a frog and a buzzbait. Doesn't matter which h brand. Poppers and stick baits can be situational. Buzz for semi open water and frog in the slop. After you get those catching fish try out fancier stuff.

Anyone have success pitching to logs with river trash on them? Doing it now with my bud. A few frogs in the area.

I'd love to be a marshall. Learn from a pro and get paid.

Color

Clear water seems sketchy for lipless imo. I have little experience with lipless though.

Tatula says 1/4 to 5/8 for ml 1/4 to 3/4 for medium Doesn't seem like it's a big difference.

What advantages are there of using a medium light cranking rod compared to a medium? The tatula has a ml and it states that is what randy used at the classic. Why would he use the ml?

Went out monday. A few trout fishermen on the bank with me. I snagged two of their lines with my crankbait because they toss as far as they can.and.let their line drift away. Am I the inconsiderate one or are they? Most of them look at me funny when I say I am after bass not trout usually stating "well its too cold for bass"...

I love it. I want more. Not too big but not small. Not really that heavy. Casts amazingly. Smooth.

Will submerged hydrilla or milfoil mat and create passages that hold bass? I know it will when it reaches the surface.

I mostly had shallow cranks but they don't get down enough to kick up dirt or hit deeper rip rap. Without submerged grass my shallow cranks just swim through the water. I was looking at spro John md. Any other suggestions or tips

They have their place. But given a choice I go offset. Shows more of the point to the fish.

Just an fyi...zipper merging reduces lengths of backed up traffic and wait times. Unfortunately most people aren't aware. If you are blocking the other lane, it's you who is being inconsiderate to everyone (I use to do it btw). As for fishing...Some people just aren't aware. Although last year I had 3 people in a small boat motor past me and my dad as we worked a bank so they could beat us to a good pocket. They only spent a few minutes there and left and we proceeded to catch a couple. Getting mad at someone fishing your hole is never as bad as you make it out to be unless they are using dynamite.

Just use tape and save you frustration. If you are putting pressure on the line at at the tape then you've already lost.

Just ordered a couple from tw. Almost all are back ordered or out. Are these really that good or is it just the vib-jig craze.

If you are referencing learned helplessness, then the bass would would need to be caught every time it attempts to eat and considering bass can and have been caught with successive casts...The physical impact on the fish isn't what you think.
