What line should I use for a BFS setup?
The yumeya 32 mm is a quite deep BFS spool. It can fit quite a few 20 lb braid. I am using pp on mine before. if you want something better go with the smackdown. I have recently switched to 6 lb yozuri hybrid and liked it a lot.

The length for the hard case is 24 inch. Definitely can fit into a carry on but no a back pack.

Most durable frog?
70 bass per frog? Less than 10 cents per fish that's pretty good deal to me. Not sure if you can use mend-it if the frog want torn too bad.

I need help finding a finesse baitcaster!
You should be able to find a used Daiwa pixy on ebay within your budget. Or get a Tatula and throw in a DIY BFS spool.

Shimano DC Models
I have the both DC and non DC models. If you will do lots of flipping and pitching I would suggest the non DC one. However I do found the DC one is a casting machine especially for frogging.

Can we talk about finesse Casting rigs?
If you can find a DIY BFS spool for tatula it will turn your current reel to a BFS machine.

The R+spool is 32mm so it should fit the 100m or zillion which use 34mm spool. You can also see a space in the pic.

Needs Help For St Croix Legend Elite (Brown)
I've recently got a St Croix legend elite (brown blank) and when I was checking it today I found there is a very bulky epoxy glue under the first guide (see pics). It doesn't make any sense to me for such a big drop of glue on a factory built rod and makes me wondering if the guide was been repaired. If someone has the same rod would you please check if for me please. Thanks in advance.

Shimano Curado I, Duckett 360, Abu Garcia Revo Mgxtreme (Baitcaster Choices)
$180 range daiwa alphas sv, $250 range shimano metanium. $500 range you can have almost whatever you want from shimano daiwa or megabass. For the three you've listed expect the curado I would highly doubt they are even worth the price at half of their MSRP.

I think the DC is a cool feature especially for the whine. The XG ratio makes it a nice frog/jig reel. However I rarely fishing frogs and I dont think DC shines for jig application. If let me choose again I may get a low gear ratio, which may see more long casting use or the standard Met plus the yumeya BFS spool. The later one would be the best of both worlds.
