Alx Rods
I have the 7'1" mh zolo b, absolutely love it. It's an extremely versatile rod. I use it for jigs, swim jigs, chatterbaits, frogs. It's plenty sensitive, I fish with at croix avids and kistler heliums and its right up there with them. My only gripe with the rod is I feel that the cork they use isn't as nice as on my other rods. I would highly recomend one.

I know, but the time I went to check it out they were sold out of the one I wanted

Does It Really Matter To You?
I'd prefer that they do match, but it's not a deal breaker

What's The Best Baitcasting Reel For Under $250?
I'd grab a tatula, you could get a zillion if you want to get a new one before they're a thing of the past.

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
The hookset one is smaller than the one in foxboro, but for some reason I like it better. I wouldn't go out of my way to go there if you're closer to the foxboro one unless you just want to go there to check it out. Also anyone hear anything about the cabelas that's supposed to be coming to ma

Cabelas
Bps doesn't offer it on reels, also varies from store to store, I've had one tell me they only do it certain days of the month, some stores always honor it.

Favorite Brand
I like daiwa reels and st croix spinning rods, haven't settled on a casting rod yet

What Rod ??
Get the 2 piece avid during Black Friday, I'm pretty sure tw puts st croix on sale, should end up being around 150. The avid is worth the extra cash IMO. I use med for senkos, if you feel like you need more power you could go mh

Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)
I think the jeep monkey put the bait monkey at bay for a little bit. Ok maybe not at all, I'm probably gonna spend a lot of money this winter.

Uptons Straight Tail Worm 13"
I went through a pack of them and didn't hook up with any fish, tore a lot of them in half just pulling them through some weeds

How Many Different Brands Of Rod And Reel Do You Own?
Rods: St croix Kistler ALX Shimano Quantum Tica Reels: Shimano Daiwa Pflueger Casting rods I don't really have a preference, but I don't think I'll ever buy anything but st croix for my spinning rods. Casting reels, I've used a lot of different brands and never found one that I thought was bad, but I'm starting to become a daiwa guy. Spinning reels is same as above but I lean towards pfluger

Eastern Ma & New England Area Fishing Reports
Went to wachusett twice last week, lost what I assume was a laker about 5-10 feet from shore. I'm not done fishing til the water freezes over, then I may take a shot at ice fishing.

Question About Spinning Gear
For flukes I don't think it matters that much, I usually twitch them, pause, then reel in the slack. I wouldn't overthink it.

Favorite Color Bait
Purple worms, white spinnerbaits, black chatterbaits, black topwater, and perch/fire tiger cranks. Not sure why, but this is what I gravitate towards.

Ul Spinning Rod Suggestions?
I use a st croix triumph 6' light/fast for trout, that might fit the bill, should run you less than 100 also.

All-Around Spinning Rod Help...
I've had both abu and at croix ml rods and I prefer st croixs. Also if you do get a croix their ml is labeled fast, but it's not its got a pretty parobolic action to it. I've been thinking of getting a croix ml xfast to replace it but I caught a lot of fish on that rod this year.

All-Around Spinning Rod Help...
Mojo bass or veritas 7' mf, I've used both to toss weightless trick worms all the time and you'll never haver to worry about having enough backbone with either rod.
