I have heard good things about the rapala shad rap 5. I have and h2o express square bill crank bait in sexy shad pattern. I need some new rattle traps to replace the ones lost to the fishing gods. Any other good cranks that will be worth a try? Also a massive cold front just moved throught Tennessee and the fish have major lockjaw. How long does it take for them to get back to normal?

I am getting caught on brush and wood. When I get it back the worm is all balled around the hook. Sometimes the tail is ripped off.

I am completely new to smallmouth, I have never fished for them in my life. I want to go to Center Hill or Dale Hollow sometime to fish for them. What would be some must have lures for them? I have a spinning rod with 8 lb pline on it, I am guessing I will fish with that mostly.

Try a trout magnet and crappie magnets in creeks. You can't keep the red eye and bass off your hook.

I am fishing zoom trick worms. It keeps getting snagged even when the hook point is buried in the plastic. I am going throught almost 15 worms a day. What could I do different that could solve the problem? I was not even using a heavy jighead. Also, what is everybody's favorite color of trick worms and soft plastics in general?

Try mean mouth lures. You will have to order them online. My favorite is the pro rocker jig.

I fish it and caught a 5 pounder on it back in the spring. I fish it with a 4/0 hook and a 3/16 ounce bullet weight on it. On the pond I sometimes fish, they like the okeechobee craw color.

Hey guys, how can I keep bass from throwing my light texas rig with a finesse worm on it? Do I need to just set the hook harder? I am afraid I will break my line if I set it to hard.

They were just sucking them down, some of them I didn't even know they were on until I felt the weight, then I set the hook.

I caught a few bass on my white buzz bait yesterday. Biggest was 4 pounds. Smallest was 12 inches long.
