  1. I don't see it either
  2. I personally throw high vis 12lb sx1 and 16lb dark moss sx1 on tatula LT 4000s. In both cases with the shollower tatula spool the 125 yards is more than enough. I also did braid to 6-8 fc sniper leader. They cast a mile on either braid set up. The 12lb is feels like a noticeable different line than the 16lb. The 12lb is extremely soft and thin. The 16 feels like a normal power pro to me but still good. Try 10 or 15lb smackdown too. I think smackdown is the best braid, period.
  3. Are you saying the zolo and kistler are on pat with the braillist? Just wondering because I've had my eye on a braillist but if it's not all cracked up to be I can go another route. Was thinking bottom contact, dark sleepers and jigs
  4. Also want to know. Is there anyway to set up alerts?
  5. 2008 Ranger Z21 SC Ultrex 112 8' power poles HUMMINBIRD Helix SI 10 Mega at the bow and Humminbird Helix 10 Di at the how, the linked. With bass tech mounts and locking bolts Hydrowave
  6. I agree. Smackdown is on another level. I'm ruined forever. At least it lasts forever. The new stealth gray toooooo Seagur just came out with stealth gray and high flash high vis green. Tacklewarehouse has it in 10lb 150yard spools
  7. I also own JDM Met Mgls. I was a little concerned about the spool being a little more shallow than the US version. That was not worth the price difference as I got mine new from ebay for $265. It also holds an entire 150 yard spool of seaguar 30lb smackdown!
  8. Anybody tried the vixen ko's? Are they the same ?
  9. Tacklewarehouse shows handle length on the dagger and Bralwer and 15 inches and the 7'5 " St croix legand T pitching rod at 16inches. Do you ever wish the dragged was a heavier power? Just would be deciding between the two. Have you used the Bralwer? Okay so I just measured my 7'6 *** handle that is claimed on tacklewarehouse to be 15 3/4 and it's 11 5/8. Maybe they are different measurements but what I care about is from where your hand is to the butt. Brawler measures just under at 15 1/2 and according to st croix actually handle pictures their 7'5 legend pitching rod is 11 1/2. Confusing
  10. Anybody else using live scope? Anybody know if humminbirds are going to join the party? It sure would be nice to be able to use our helix megs for live scope type stuff.
  11. You can get a jdm met mgl on eBay for around $275 if you follow the 15% off everything sales on eBay. Same reel as the US but with a slightly more shollow spool. It won't be an issue using braid especially somethinf thin like smackdown or max quarto. I just got one for actually less than that. I'd been following the used market on ebay and it actually gets higher than the new jdm reels. I actually got a chronarch mgl for $165 new. I've always had lews and my buddies have the new tatula 100 and tatula sv. In my opinion is the shimano mgl reels just look and feel in a different class. The met also throws for days! Reel test was throwing a 1/2 Oz plug 230 ft. One thing to consider is also the t wing on the diawa. It's no Bueno for braid to leader. Happy hunting!
  12. Looking for pitching stick. I think the 7'5- - 7'6 range works best since I'm don't think I'll be doing much flipping. I'd be throwing 1/2 and higher jigs and other creature baits. I recently purchased a ALX zolo brawler used on ebay for $140 that showed up with the pvc kinked and the rod snapped. I am sending it back for a refund but the seller only had one. I'd like to stay out of the price range of the Conquests, NRX, Xtasy and the likes. I am looking more around the mid 300s down to 200. One key thing that I like is a decent handle under my foarm. One of my black muse rods said it had a 15 3/4 handle on tacklewarehouse and that the alx brawler only had a 15 1/4 handle. When meausing them side the rod but end was the same length. I wonder if tacklewarehouse handle lengths are accurate. Either way I like that longer handle. Options Expride 7'6 Heavy ALX ZOLO Dragger or Brawler(would their smaller guides be an issue for braid to leader?) St. Croix Legand tournament 7'5 moderate pitching rod (anybody have one of these?) Dobyns Extreme? I'm not thrilled with the sensitivity of my 742sf.(still a great rod)
  13. Sounds like your buddies skeeter is not an I series hull. My understanding from others that the I series is a very stable and dry ride. Because it's a shared boat between my father and I. The ranger 40th anniversary boat just looks really nice to me. I get the Skeeter is newer, has less hours and a four stroke. Those are all great to have. The lack of a jack plate bothers me. Trolling motor and electronics aren't really much of an issue.
  14. I've been comparing these two boats that are at currently the same price 2008 Ranger Z21 - 30K SC Twin power poles Mercury 250 two stroke - 250hrs Bobs hydraulic jack plate Console and Bow Humminbird Helix 9s 112 Fortrex. 2012 Skeeter 20i DC 120 HRS 250 Yamaha Sho 4 stroke Basic electronics No jack plate or power poles. Terrova Both boats are Clean To me the ranger is a far better looking boat. The skeeter seems to be worth a little more due to being newer.
  15. Don't get my wrong ID much rather cast but in my quest to find out "why am I not catching fish" I've come across a lot of discussion stating my gear is just too big. That if I want to Ned, light tube and even think about trying drop shot tin g I need to have spinning gear.
  16. I also wanted to share a place a friend of mine from work told me about. I call in the #1 pond because it's shaped like #1 He is from Rossville and told me he helped sponsor a fishing tournament for children a few years back and they stocked this pond. It in the back of Hunting farms development but they only built a few homes. Once you get back there it's like having your own private small lake, it's pretty big. He has told me there are plenty of cat fish in it. I fished it yesterday though without a bite even though decent sized fish could be seen jumping out of the water apparently feeding. If anyone wants to add it to your list of places to go it's quite peaceful. It's just of 57 (Poplar ave) ave you go through Rossville, you drive to the back of the development and will see the fishing sign. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=35.047368,+-89.539911&num=1&t=h&vpsrc=0&ie=UTF8&z=18&iwloc=A

  18. I've fished Grove about seven times without a bite.
  19. Any idea when fall turnover might be?
  20. Going out this weekend?
  21. Roadwarrior, I finally got my account work. This is Ryan Michael. I saw you at Grove last Saturday morning while I was there with a friend. We stayed about 2.5 hours without a bite. I'm glad to hear that you caught stuff on Sunday. What time a day did you get those on Sunday? Were you down on the far end again? Also, what size hook are you using? And thank you so much for the information the other day.
