  1. Cranks, Lipless baits= Mustad KVD Elite 1x strong 2x short Topwaters and jerkbaits= Owner St36
  2. I thought tungsten was a gimmick at first but after using I realized how good it is. They are expensive but I just stock up on them when they are on sale. I don't care about brand either I just grab what ever is on sale and what's the cheapest.
  3. I haven't used them in a while and I can't remember the exact size. Just go to a hardware store and bring a senko and look for the perfect size.
  4. use a slightly bigger O-ring
  5. I hated SS8. Braid is known for not being abrasion resistant but SS8 was something else. I've never seen a braid get frayed so easily in my life. And I wasn't fishing in rock.
  6. Yamamotos are pricy, are not durable, but they work like nothing else. Senkos, Fat Ikas, DT Grubs, an Kut Tail Worms all work. If you want to save some money buy some Mend-It. It will make each bait last another 1-3 fish.
  7. Boomerang Snip. I've never used a tool that cuts braid so easily.
  8. not entirely true.... They are going to use the braid that is produced by a company that sponsors them For instance some one who is sponsored by Seaguar is going to use a Seaguar braid and not Power Pro.
  9. I usually just use a FC Sniper or Shooter leader If you don't want a big bulky knot I recommend using a knot that isn't very bulky such as an alberto, FG, ect
  10. I wish I could like this more than once.
  11. I know the Met is great for lighter baits but the lightest bait I throw would be a weightless Trick Worm and the CI4 throws it perfectly and as far as I need. I don't really care for the difference in the weight between the two either and for the price difference between the two on JLS I would rather get the CI4 and put a Hawgtech handle on it and maybe a carbontex drag.
  12. I sent you a PM about it.
  13. I love both reels. Hands down my favorite reels on the market. At first I thought the Chonarch wasn't worth the extra money but after using it more I totally think it is. I do have a few complaints about the CI4 though. I own two of them (so far) and they seem to get boat rash very easily. The CI4 in my profile pic has some chipping near the line guide area that always has me paranoid I'm going to fray the line one of these days and lose a fish. I also really wish Shimano would release the Chronarch with a 5:1.1 gear ratio. I have a question to those who own both a CI4 and a Metanium. How do they perform side by side? I think I've said that I'm going to pull the trigger on one for over a year now but I just never do it. I know JLS has Metaniums that is the same retail price as a new CI4 but when I see the CI4 for $212 it's to hard to pass up. Maybe one of you can finally persuade me lol.
  14. 30lb is the lightest a lot of people go. I have 20lb on a Chronarch CI4 and it's been great. I think Spool size has a lot to do with it. In my experience reels with smaller spools (50 size shimanos) are capable of using lighter braids in the 15lb range with ease. But that is my experience with it and others will most likely disagree
  15. Personally, for frogs I would go with the 735 and would never look back. It's perfectly balanced and has the perfect tip for frogs. Don't get me wrong I love St. Croix but for a frogging rod the 735 can't be beat. Any of those reels would work. I would personally use the Chronarch since I'm a Shimano guy.
  16. Jig Bladed Jig Squarebill
  17. 736 is too much the 735 is perfect
  18. Zman is as durable as it gets
  19. I'm a firm believer in quality over quantity.
  20. They are not being released until November so I doubt anybody will have any.
  21. I back mine off after each outing. No major reason why but its just something I've always done.
  22. I use to use a lot of Pro Cure but the smell of that garlic just started giving me major headaches and I would get very nauseous. I stopped using scents and I haven't noticed a decrease in the amount of bites I get.
