  1. Having fished the Big G for 10 + years, I would recommend hiring a good guide for a day or two. Mike Carter, Jake Davis or Tim Chandler are some of the best ones. Otherwise, try a rattletrap over eel grass flats, 6 - 9 FOW over shell beds. Don't think the Ledges will be holding many. Try up river above Scottsboro, Raccoon Creek, Mud Creek, etc. They might be a few still spawning.

  10. My regular Bass, Bream & Crappie fishing "Padners" have gotten old & lazy! I'm looking for someone who would like to fish the Mid South Area on a regular basis. I am always eager to learn something or teach you! I fished the BFL & Big Bass Splash tournaments several years & would do so again. The best part of the year is approaching & it looks like we have had several good spawning years, so the fishing should be good! I have two well equipped boats, Stratos 201 Pro (20 ft, big water) & a Tracker (17 ft, shallow water, coves creeks) . Both are rigged for Pulling Cranks / Spider Rigging which I do often. The Tracker is much easier on gas!!! LOL! PM me for details & contact info. Ed
  11. Ya'll holler at me sometime. I fish just about everyday some where around here. Plenty of "virgin" places to fish.
  12. Holler at me sometime, I'm always looking for a pard down here, fishing is good!
  13. Getting close. Topped out in some shallow areas
  14. Fishing tournaments? I'd recommend trying the FLW / BFL as a co-angler. That's what I do here on the Big G. This year all of the Choo Choo Division tx's are on Lake Guntersville. I drew a good boater for the first one, Sat Feb 7. We caught an 8 pounder! Holler at me if you get this way!
  15. well look me up when you get headed this way!
  16. Florida is just as good and a lot warmer!
  17. My regular Bass fishing "Padner" is moving away! I'm looking for someone who would like to fish Guntersville on a fairly regular basis. I fish a few tournaments here also & am always eager to learn something or teach you! I have two well equipped boats, Stratos 201 Pro (20 ft, big water) & a Tracker (16 ft, shallow water, coves creeks) . The Tracker is much easier on gas!!! LOL! PM me for details & contact info. Ed
  18. I Agree with the Goose Pond recommendation. Just depends on which end of the Lake you want to focus. There's more traffic / competition down on the South end around Guntersville, unless you go to Honeycomb. I like the north end better. Holler at me & I'll give you some lure tips & locations. If you want to hire a guide, I recommend Mike Carter, Angling Adventures. Ed
  19. Has anybody had any luck with these new programs? I bought them, but am having trouble getting them to work
  20. Anybody need a ride in a spectator boat gimme a Holler! Be there all week.
  21. ANybody need a ride to spectate for the Classic on Lake Guntersville, last week in Feb, 2014? Taking my boat, 19' Stratos, 60 mph, looking for gas help?
