  1. Its possible there could be very little size if not just a few fish in the entire pond . When I run into this or particularly rough times I down size . Drop shot with 3 - 4 inch soft plastics , beetle spins , 1/8 - 1/ 16 oz finesse jigs . Don't forget to drop down to 6-8 lb test . Soon there after if there is anything in the pond you will know very shortly . I have caught some incredibly huge bass off of small beetle spin.
  2. Bass still eat the water temp slows their metabolism. Caught fish in worst of days when I was alone on the lake . Jigs , jerkbaits , drop shot , crankbaits, spoons are a staple of winter baits for a reason they work.
  3. I try and research as much as possible for all my fishing equipment. I found the Ima flit 100 and 120 jerkbaits and they have some of the best reviews that I have found . I gave them a try and they produced nicely. So I decided to venture forth with research with the Bill Lowen Crankbait line up , YouTube has some nice footage and good reviews on *** for both jerkbaits and the Bill Lowen Crankbait. Depth wise 0-3 ft as advertised is pretty accurate. The reviews for needing to upgrade the treble hooks is well founded , however being tired I declined . Once you see my pic I really wish I would have as it would have gone down as a hard lesson to swallow had the hooks had failed. New treble hooks are now on the front burner. I was using 10 lb seagaur red label fishing line and was targeting very shallow cover for my best results. Under the right circumstances with heavy mono this would make a killer wake bait. I am impressed with the Ima line up thus far .
  4. I came here for the pictures .
  5. Raider make the most of it , put your harley on the deer stand and hunt off of it , Trust me its a win , win . Duck Dynasty Meets Hells Angels , now thats a show I will watch .
  6. I have had some of the best arguments in my life alone on the lake with me winning every moment of it . Minus me running into a dock with a trolling motor on high . Pretty hard to blame anyone else especially when your by yourself and look down to see a bent trolling motor shaft and people looking at you like you have lost your mind .
  7. Now this is the 100 size not the 120 you can get the jerkbait much lower by lowering the rod tip but i just liked the ability to be able to control depth . I believe the depth this was caught at around 3ft but had the ability to reach 6ft , don't quote me on it though .
  8. Went and purchased a new ima flit jerkbait, nice ability to either rip it or slowly twich . Glad to see it works
  9. 7ft medium , probably the most versatile rod setup there is from what I use , jigs , texas rigs , crankbaits including lipless , jerkbaits , its goes on and on and on .
  10. Easily a jig , summer , winter , fall , spring , Go stand by some cocktail shrimp and see how long you can go before you look like a bass staring at it from a few feet away .
  11. Its all personal preference for me I love them the 704cb is probably one of the best jerkbait rods I have ever seen . I also own a 734c heavy rod for flipping ,carolina rigs , mainly my go to jig rod . For me they are awesome but I also research them to death before I just randomly go out and pick a dobyns rod . Do your research and get the specific rod for you within the line up .
  12. Yikes , glad it didnt fully puncture.
  13. Purple power diluted a little bit is what my auto shop uses.
  14. Stupid question could you buy the d-shad in that color and melt them repour into a senko mold ? Considering doing this for a zoom specialty color .
  15. Dont forget the cattle prods and hair trimmer were out in public for lords sake . That stuff might have worked in alabama but were moving up or slightly tilted to the left provided we didnt exceed te maximum weight limit.

The weather around my neck of the woods has been a little squirrelly . Got bored remmbered I had a gift card to dicks , upon my arrival a tropical storm hovered in the parking lot .Always amazed how quickly the weather can spontaneously change . I Found a lucky craft 78 jerkbait for $9.99 with a broken hook that was in the buy 1 get one in the sale section . I had spied another on the counter that had been opend and laying around asked if that would work and sure enough they let it slide . Left feeling awsome decided to push my luck and try one of my spots in between monsoon down poors. Sure enough Forgot to bring my scale due to less than favorable outings .
