With Lew's introducing a few new baitcast reels as well as other competitors new offerings in that $100 to $129 range - are you still in love with your Lew's Tournament MB baitcast reel ? ...Have you been tempted to have an affair with a new competitor's baitcast model in the same price range ? I run cheap WM #8 lb. mono on about 60% ~ 70% then finish with braid . The thinner mono helps braid under #20 lb. test from digging in . Be sure to wind both mono and braid on tight !

Gotta hit those bass lateral lines - senko type bait works best followed by Flik Shake Worm then Trick / Finesse Worm.

My current finesse standard is Sunline FC Sniper 7lb. This new line better be worth it !

I never see FLW BASS and Bassmaster magazines sold at book stores , super markets , etc. as thery suddenly stopped being available any where several months ago .Heck I no longer even see FLW BASS magazine sold at WM and they are a sponser ! ... What's up with that ? Are those two magazines still in print ? Available now by subscription only ?

I wish there was a sticky note for what size O-rings and shrink tube diameters are used for : Senkos , Trick Worms and Robo Worms as all have different diameters.

Most would refer to a 1/2oz. ~ 3/4oz. football jig with a light wire hook using 15lb. to 17lb. FC line . Therefore a 7' ~ 7'3" MH-F would fit the bill as a place to start . After , it's individual preferance as those state on this thread ...

Another idea : A size #1 or #2 Gama EWG hook with 1/16th oz. pegged bullet weight .

Just got out of bait monkey rehab and entered a half way house . While taking a walk around my new neighborhood surroundings I came upon a small mom & pop store with a sign out front : "Zoom Soft Plastics - "Buy One Get One 50% Off " ! ... I went inside and as soon as I plopped down all the Trick worms I could carry to check out , I was apprehended - it was a sting !! I should have known it was too good to be true !! ... Now back to rehab - I hope I get out before the Fall shad run !!

^^This^^ ... Two solid choices - I also like Robo Worms but I would put them more into the dropshot specific category . For the general all - around finesse style worm I agree with T-9 .

Black & Blue and Green Pumpkin - these two colors are all you need ...

1/0 is WAY too big !! ... You want a #2 hook on the Gopher heads (as the largest) with TRD's and I even do well on a #4 hook on the Gopher heads with the TRD's .

How many of you have had success in fishing for spotted bass with watermelon red color soft plastics ? Although a popular color for bass (largemouth ?) , I seem to score poorly with watermeon red vs. green pumpkin color in soft plastics for spotted bass . Conversely , I have caught a significant number of largemouth bass on watermelon red color soft plastics - but never spotted bass - go figure ?

I like something at about 6'10" M XF ...* While you can put a number of different soft plastics on a shaky head - it's all about the worm first and foremost !! I have rigged craws , tubes , flukes , etc. on a shaky head and nothing day in and day out gets bit more than a Zoom Green Pumpkin Trick Worm (or similar worm) .

Price is great for a 8 strand braid - anybody tried it yet ?

I would think a Ultravibe speed worm would be just the ticket in Florida waters with all the sub surface grass you have . Here in Georgia with mainly rocky bottoms and little sub surface -not so much use for a speed worm if you already use a buzzbait .

I would love to see a video of Ned taking a G. Loomis rod factory tour ... All kidding aside , I use a Cabela's 7' ML IM-7 graphite spinning rod I got on mark down for $30 . I knew what I wanted first in a Ned rig rod and then just shopped without any brand in mind until I found what would fit the bill at the price I wanted to pay (under $50) .
