Finesse Line Question
*I like the Trilene FC but it is larger diameter for it's #size than others such as InvizX or Sunline … While I use the Trilene FC for leaders , I would recommend either InvizX #6 lb. or Sunline #7 lb. size FC lines over the #6lb. Trilene FC line as a main line (unless you intend to want a #8 lb. / #10 lb. FC size line .

Shimano Sellus Change?
I have the previous white version spinning rods with composite grips and recently saw the blue version at Academy - it appears to be similar but I prefer the actions and markings of the white versions I have . I would also look at the Daiwa Avid X series rods at the same price range (approx. $50).

Drop Shot Main Line You Will Use This Year ?
*Good counter measures to avoiding line twist while drop shotting ... I sometimes clip the drop shot weight on the line but now will pay attention to tying the weight on straight . The #7 lb. Sniper is one strong line ... The Maxima Ultra Green is a unique line that is growing on me for more applications .

Drop Shot Main Line You Will Use This Year ?
*I think this set up may be key to what I am looking for : PP #10 lb. Hi - Viz yellow braid main line with a long InvizX #6 lb. FC leader using a small knot ... No worries regarding line twist - plus gain the benefit of FC line for drop shotting .

Drop Shot Main Line You Will Use This Year ?
Curious as to what others are / will be using for shallow water drop shot main line this year (i.e. dragging a drop shot around in 5' to 12' water depth ?) Braid + FC / Co-Poly leader OR straight FC / Co-Poly main line ? I would like to try InviZx #6 lb. FC as a main line (with VMC Spin Shot hooks) as I hear decent manageability claims for a finesse FC line - but I am afraid of twisted spinning set up FC main line after a day of casting & dragging a drop shot set up around. Not sure if Tatsu or one of the newer finesse FC lines out by Seaguar offer any improvement for a spinning set up for drop shot applications ? Other option is PP #10 lb. braid main line plus a 7' ~ 8' FC leader ... Your thoughts and experiences with a drop shot set up primarily used for horizontal casting for Large Mouth & Spotted Bass versus dropping straight down vertically 60' on smallies in Lake Erie ? Thanks in advance ...

Favorite Dirty Water Spinner Bait ?
*Oklahoma blades are gaining popularity and fill a niche as follows : Willow -> Oklahoma > Indiana -> Colorado blades .

Question for guys who fish straight floro/mono, why do you?
For spinning I like Braid + Leader (usually FC or Co-Poly of #4lb. to #10 lb. line size) Braid + Leader (mono) for topwater Braid for punching / frogging FC for jigs or bottom contact applications Co-Poly or Mono for crank baits (most use FC line for cranks but I fish pretty cranks shallow so I get by without FC line).

ned rig weight
*Lots of Ned Head jigs being introduced but for me I rule out most of them because the hooks are too large . 1/16th oz. Ned head with a #2 or #4 size hook is my go to . Any larger than say a #1 size hook in a Ned head jig is starting to get too large for my set up .

Favorite Dirty Water Spinner Bait ?
*I picked up a new Covert (Booyah) 1/2 oz. spinnerbait : #5 single Colorado blade (gold) Blue / Chartreuse skirt Red Head ----------------------------------- I went with what I felt was a spinnerbait set up that would work in muddy to stained water . There is also a Covert series in florescent orange head but in a 1/2 oz. size that thing is extra bright ! … I believed the model above I picked out might possibly have greater usage as our water does not stay muddy / stained full time (just during late winter / early Spring rains).

Favorite Dirty Water Spinner Bait ?
*My local reservoir has gone from the water level being 9 ft. down to now 11 ft. over full pool in only two weeks (lots of rain in North Georgia !) ... My question is what is your favorite dirty (muddy) water spinner bait to throw in low visibility water conditions ? I'm thinking either a single Colorado blade (gold) or a dual Colorado blade (gold / gold , gold / silver or gold / orange) with a chartreuse & white head and skirt in either a 3/8th oz. or 1/2 oz. size ? ... Now I see the Booyah Covert series with a number of combinations of red head or orange head ; single or double Colorado blades ; blue / chartreuse / while skirt or chartreuse / white skirt (I think like 18 different versions of the Booyah Covert alone just for dirty water) . It can become a bit daunting plus expensive to try and cover the variegating degrees of dirty water spinner bait combinations with the Booyah Covert series spinner baits . Nothing against Booyah (or Jason Christie) - I'm just looking for a simpler formula to pick a spinner bait for dirty water which may possibly even transition to stained water ? What has worked for you as a dirty water spinner bait ? Thanks in advance ...

BPS Crank'n Stick Users ?
Yes , it appears the new ones are not the same quality as the old ones - I believe I will spend more money on a Dobyns Fury 705CB as reviews are good in that approx. $100 price range Trap rod .

BPS Crank'n Stick Users ?
Thanks for the Lew's rod link - I had not heard of that series before so worth a look (a store is 6 miles from me) .
