  1. amazing c312, thanks a bunch man
  2. Im a big fan of lost and was gonna have it taped but the person taping turned it off way to early :'(, can anyone give me a brief description of what happened on wednesdays show, if so it means a lot and thank you- Jon
  3. While i agree with all of you that its sad she died and more importantly anyone dies, and also that the media is absolutely disgusting, and i know the way our media works detaling everything but its a waste of time to even cover the story the way they have and will continue, this is all my personal opinion but she was not respectable at all. She married a man she never loved, an 89 year old man just for his gigantic stack ofmoney, she was in the lime light often making a mockery of herself, drunk and or drugged up on national tv, her tv show if you even caught 5 minutes of it like myself was a joke, regardless of the sad events about her son, she left her baby daughter to grow up with no mother, its to be determined who the father is, its all a sick mess to be honest, people who are famous like this should be ignored, it should be announced that she in fact was dead and condolances given and thats it, move on, shes not worth all of the wasted ink and writings, once again just my opinion- Jon
  4. I dont actually think its a good luck charm but i must represent fishing... so i wear a bass fishing hat and try to wear a bass related shirt as well, I wear the hat thats related to fishing 99% of the time
  5. Good luck Ben, you will respresent us well!!
  6. Wow im stupid, i gave false information... that story was about beavers not otters going after the lures, sorry guys
  7. Kind of off topic but i know they will go after lures, my friend had no idea one was near and we found out all of sudden one in fact, went after his lure and ripped it and the line, hopefully he was fine!
  8. dink that was really funny ;D, for me id use a chartruese spinnerbait with 2 willowleaf blades
  9. I second exactly what gman said
  10. My fishing buddy and i have gone over this often, i agree with all of your opinions on the topics that stink about fishing shows, one i have to add is most of the shows dont talk about the how to part, like the whole pattern used, entire retrieve of a lure basically all the ins and outs, they briefly say this is how you use it and thats it, the camera doesnt even zoom in and give you 5 good minutes of the how to, i mean we all have fished most lures the hosts have including myself, but id still like to see their actual technique, im always learning new stuff :'(
  11. I have a huge tackle bag and i leave them in their orginal packaging and put all the similar lures in big zip lock bags and label them with a sharpie, i dont want any chance of the baits bleeding into other ones, as well i want to use the original scents that the lures come with to not mix with the other baits, at first i used to take them out and put them in plano tackleboxes but ive changed and even if it doesnt do anything wrong to the lures in the planos i just feel more confident in the baits in their orginal packaging- Jon
  12. Add me to the band wagon of of gammy treble hooks
  13. Hey hey hey to defend bill dance a little bit, i doubt he made the spittin image lure but he did have something to do with it cause his name is on the side of the bait, i for one love that lure and its so easy to walk the dog with it and its not even funny
  14. Welcome and what a site to join ive learned so much from this place its crazy and ive been here less than a yr
  15. I really like the bps brand buzzbaits, its design keeps the line from tangling around the buzzbait, they have really sharp good hooks and they seem to catch me bass so thats my vote
  16. Another vote for all types of booyah jigs, true quality!
  17. Welcome dude!
  18. CrazedL.IFisherman replied to tube's topic in Introductions
Welcome to the site man, fire away with the questions... these group of guys are the best when it comes to fishing in general
  19. I was re-reading my "Largemouth Bass in the 1990's" book while at work which was written by the in-fisherman crew with the lidner brothers being the most known. This book is like my Bible and i read it over and over again. The section about spawning talks about the well known occurances. How the males watch over the eggs and fry. They said spawning occurs typically in 1-4 foot deep beds, if thats the case when cold fronts come in do the male bass leave the nests for deeper water like normal or do they rough it out and stay by the nest through the bad weather?
  20. I recently found an article with many different types of research on bass fishing and it was extremely informative, i think this has been discussed this before and i appologize if it has, the article "Something's fishy" stated "largemouth bass, for example, have only receptors that detect primarily red and green wavelenths." The article stated all other colors were precieved by bass as a grey color. It went on to talking about how we the fishermen waste money buying all the new types of colors, thinking back on this past off season ive bought many lures that werent colored red or green, hopefully this wasn't one big waste of money, i was wondering if you guys believed this statement and if other studies have been done to prove this or to prove otherwise? I mean i understand other colors do catch fish, because they have caught me many fish over the years, and some could say it gives the angler confidence to use a color he likes, but still... hopefully they can see more colors.
  21. My weakness is carolina rig fishing, i rarely do it and am ashamed i havent because everyone raves about it, to answer your question other i also use the yum craw bugs just started too last summer and man are they great to use, i watched this on a bill dance show one time and he uses the booyah baby boo jighead and so i copied him, they are really easy to rig and this regular texas style with a jighead was deadly for me, too bad it was at the end of the season, im going to use them like crazy this upcoming season, i went a little nuts hence the username ;D, on ebay won an action that was selling like 40 packages of these baits in basically all the colors offered, and the price was unbeatable, man i cannot wait
  22. I was just curious how often you guys find lures on lakes and ponds you fish, and if you do find them whens the best time of year to get the most, here on long island new york my fishing buddy and i get antsy and fish when its kind of early and hard to buy a bite, during the first few weeks of april we are out on the lake, besides just enjoying bass fishin we are scouring the entire lake for lost lures of other fishermen, my friend says i have an eagle eye, in early spring i usually find 2 lures a trip, it might be realy corny but i absolutely love finding lures and adding them to my already fleet. It gives me a happy feeling.
  23. Also try using topwaters at dusk and into night if you like night fishing, thats when you can really gauge if they are into a topwater bite, throw on a jitterbug, simple to use or whatever topwater your most accustomed too and hang on
  24. Man are those netbait paca chunks downright effective, i think they were owned by wacky worm at first and then changed companies, i still have the old packaging and the newer one, its very similar, just food for thought
  25. Its good to hear you guys saying the sunfish pattern ones work, ive had them since last spring but havent used them, i cant wait, as far as the pike ones that actually look like pickerel, they definitely catch bass, ive caught what you would consider really nice bass in the quite a few northern waters as well as caught pickerel with them
