Removing 3x Treble Hooks
Haha yeah i get that often when i go on my week long vacation in the summer, by the end of the week i have to put a band aid on my right thumb cause those teeth hurt so much after awhile lol, a little unmanly but o well

Removing 3x Treble Hooks
also common sense so im sure ya know but im gonna throw it out there anyhow, if its 3 trebles and its taking awhile, everytime you take a break make sure to submerge the bass completely while holding him so he can, if you wanna call it this "take a break as well" while you regroup to get the other trebles out

What bait do you use most often?
any of the 7 inch draggin series paddletail worms
-
No more mudbugs?
thank you very much earthworm, ill give them a shot, they do look really cool underwater, thats one of the lures that the fishing partner uses has trouble with and the other guy then uses and sees if it in fact works, gonna have to show my buddy up on this one lol

Ika - too fat?
For me its like using live minnows, it seems the line always starts shooting out and you all most never have to set the hook
-
No more mudbugs?
I was wondering how good these lures are, my fishing partner has a few and hasnt had any luck, im not sure which colors he has, but he was upset because between the 2 of us we always have luck with arbogast products, i think he has got to give them more time
-
gambler bacon rind
Ive had them for about a year now, they are good just like most other creature baits, just slightly different design, ive had success with the black with red flake ones, i would definitely use them around spawing season on a very light weight like a 1/64 once bullet weight

-
Huddlebugs anyone?
that is so cool, d**n now time to open the wallet again, and to think i was so good for awhile at not purchasing lures haha
-
No fall action????
yeah i was having problems too and was trying many soft baits, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and some jerkbaits but should try more
-
Where to fish topwaters?
Definitely agreed on the shallow water part, love them near lily pads the most, if your not gonna use them all the time obviously like the rest of us, but always a strong weapon and keep one with you at all times in case

Tell Me What is Your Favorite Fishing Weather
I love to fish in that rain where its so light that you do no feel a drop on your body yet you see the entire lake having raindrops everywhere and know they arent bugs, when that light rain begins the fishing qulaity zooms upward

Kevin VanDam Interview
He truely seems to be a down to earth really good human being, thanks for posting it as well

Warm Fronts/Fall
as far as the rain part i totally agree, fishing 95 times out of 100 picks up, except for this one lake thats by me, when my fishing buddy and i hit it no matter what we are lucky to pull a bass from it, we just went there 1 week ago, fronts were definitely coming in, rain was about to and did come down, the entire time fishing didnt pick up what so ever, i cannot understand it and that lake is for sure our nemesis

Fishing, drug testing and the Olympics
I usually agree with stephen a and think hes quite intelligent, it might be a little overboard to test in fihsing, but to make it more like all other sports i see nothing wrong with that at all, fishing is and should be a considered sport, they now consider texas holdem a sport, a game in which i do love but its a card game, fishing is abosultely a sport and if we have to drug test to make it even more formal, then fine im all for it, i cannot stand comments like that though, i dont know for sure but my bet is he has never fresh water fished, so hate on something you have not done is not the best idea, just my .02 cents

Favourite fishing
My dream would be to own a house in maine like my parents used too and sold, which still to this day wish they hadnt :'(, well anyway it would be an older log cabin but beautiful and a huge porch that overlooks the lake and can watch storms from, it would be in a perfect location on the lake kind of in the middle so each sides were not too far to get too, but the house would have its space from others, the lake would be quite large but with many coves so a canoe would be useable, for some wierd, great reason only 10 houses on this large lake, it would have lots of structure and cover, many lily pads, pickerel grass, and reeds, as well as patches of slop, only electric motors allowed, no ways to fish the lake publicly even though thats a bit greedy, and id spend my life on that baby, treasuring it and its nature forever

Angler on Tour T.V. Show
Yeah i agree he seems like a downright great guy but seems like an average fisherman, im sure still way better than me and not to rip on the guy but he just cant seem to step up and join the big boys
-
bass not hitting
i would go with a manns watermelon with red flake paddletail worm in the 5 inch, that should do the trick
-
Dawn or dusk?
Ill take both choices if i could but since you asked either one ill go with dusk haha, theres nothing like night fishing, and i seem to personally catch much bigger bass as night, its cool and amazing on lakes up in the northeast at night with the loons calling one another, no jet ski's and plent of big bass to go around, one drawback is those freaking mosquitos i cannot stand them, but my dad always said when the mosquitos are out the bass bite, and to this day i think thats his best statement lol, whether he made that up himself or got that somewhere man is that accurate

Memorable Moments
Lol gman those stories are great, gonna need a lot of those during the winter months up here on the north side while the lakes freeze over, ive got one probably not as entertaining but here goes, up in maine where most of my good stories come from and, theres some bushes up on our left, and you can tell that bass can hang out all around this baby as well as underneath, so i tell my fishing partner to get me closer, for those perfect casts, and im flipping and pitching like a mad man not noticing any life around me, sure enough the one thing thats now right next to me that i cannot STAND, a huge black snake, it coulda been anything else but sure enough its a snake, i hate those darn things, and they always seem to involve me, never had a bad encounter just like this time, but i wish i didnt have to see them, o well the big black monster slithered off and no harm was done, but u can beat my heart was pounding, and my buddy was dying laughing

The fish that got away stories.....
my daily trip to maine for a week, it was a cool june night during 2005, my partner and started the evening fishing and the sunset was beautiful it was perfect, we were ready for one hell of a night of fishing with amazing conditions, the water was calm all night, there wasn't a mosquito around, turns out my partner and i couldn't buy a bite, for over 2 hours we fished every area possible, speaking for myself i was frustrated but was not giving up, sure enough out of near where, with no bites in hours my dying flutter propeller lure gets anniliated if thats spelt correctly, it was like a scene directly out of jaws, i straight reeling in and nothings left but the end of the line, an added fact is that there are huge and i mean huge pike in this maine lake, either way it was a beast whether largie or pike, man was my adreneline pumping after that, to this day that was the best hit on any lure i have receieved and ill never know what it was or more importantly how big

Favourite all time worm colour
green pumpkin worms, followed by watermelon with red flakes

wetting your hands before...
touching fish had been preached to me since i started fishing at age 5. How come the pro's on tv rarely do it i never see them do you, i watch the bill dance show every week and i love his show but i never ever see him wet his hands before touching bass, it does take their protective slim off like i was taught right? or was that over-reacting, either way im always going to wet my hands and play it safe, just wanna hear all of your thoughts later guys- Jon
